How to create new ammo type?

I want to use critters that DO HAVE the neccecery FRMs for the animation type, IN-GAME. The mapper doesn't recognize the animation type though, so it acts as if it doesn't have the FRMs,
That can't be right. If the Mapper can't see the animation, the game shouldn't either. Unless you added new animations in the /mods/ folder, which the mapper obviously can't see (Sfall doesn't work on the Mapper).
 
I am using restoration 2.3.3 unmodded. Where, in this installation, did they add the weapon animation type for the use of sniper rifles, hunting rifles etc', which makes the game use the animations, but not the mapper?

That's custom animation stuff... They are enabled in the ddraw.ini file (AdditionalWeaponAnims=1). It's an Sfall feature, which of course the Mapper can't handle (Sfall doesn't work for the Mapper). If you want such critters to use the weapons, you will have to add the items via script.
