How would the West Coast BoS approach Synths/Artificial Life?

Question is as simple as the title. What approach would say, the Mojave chapter or the Lost Hills Chapter, take if they encountered Synths or came across an old world ruin with an active artificial intelligence?

Artificial intelligence, like a ZAX Unit or something like Van Buren's Diana, I can see them building an outpost or bunker around and effectively working "with" it and keeping an eye on it since it's likely to be stationary and therefore easily under their control.

But how would they approach Synths? "Preserving" and containing them would be a difficult prospect both logistically and morally I think. Someone like Elijah would absolutely enslave them and dissect them, but how would a McNamara or California Maxson deal with it?

I could see them taking a similar approach to Bethesda's BoS in that they might want to destroy them, but not for the weird bigot luddite reasons that lumbersexual Maxson is frothing at the mouth about. More that they represent an existential threat to humanity (replacement) and uncontrolled technology.

Perhaps they'd seek to destroy or control the source of the Synths, and then induct the surviving members into the Brotherhood?

Just interested to see what your thoughts were.

Tactics had an almost western branch going to war against hostile 'synths'. The only indication beyond that is their stated intention of preserving (military) technology. In practice this means no one else has it. So a true to source material BoS would kidnap synths if they have the firepower to do so, and kill any they can't contain. Enslave or slaughter in other words.

I think they would most definitvely destroy them, maybe use some as forced labor but I don't think the BoS would have any moral restriction on killing them all even if they were all sentient. Their primary goal would just be making sure no one else has access to them
