Fallout 2 mod Huge problem with installation of Fallout Sonora (daylight) DLC

I downloaded fallout from a Russian site (Nevada Band's site).
Then I installed one and then the other add-on.
Unfortunately, when trying to fire it up, I am shown an error:

"Error initializing video mode 640x480". Attempts to change the resolution, compatibility/compatibility mode (windows) do nothing.

Installing sfall / highres mod also doesn't do anything, because then I get an error related to the lack of version "Fallout2.exe 1.02d US".

Asking for advice on what to do?
Maybe I am installing something wrong?
I have the original fallout from epicgames.

Sometimes I manage to enter the game, even enter the "gameplay" while I can only move the cursor/map up - down, it is impossible to move sideways!

- I will add that the "regular" fallout 2 works without any problems.

Hi. First off, what kind of installation do You have? If you want sfall, high resolution patch, and the dlc. You'll have to download Foxx's release from rutracker org. it's compatible with the unofficial english translation too.

The version from Nevada Band may cause issues if you run the game on modern pc. Version from Bevada Band's site lacks sfall, HRP, and DLC has to be downladed separately.

If You downloaded only the translation, and try to use it as full game, than you're doing it wrong. The translation has to be copied over a full russian installation, preferably the Foxx's version from rutracker.org .

yeah that 3.25PM worries me too, especially that it said no edits were made before i started to fix the issues with the text. I still probably haven't caught them all.
and yes the 4:12 4:13 was me. I like to display the fixd version on the forum so that I have a better glance on what's wrong, and if i find some more typos i fix them agin.

No I haven't, there had been issues between me and some of the polish community moders, hence i stick my ass to NMA and original language version, period.
