Nuka Break is an amazing series!

Nuka Break was so good that it was officially referenced in Gun Runner's Arsenal, a DLC for New Vegas. Possibly canonizing the show??

Oh wait there's another series on Amazon? I saw that. It's shit.

I want to turn this into a Nuka Break appreciation thread, the better TV show. I just discovered that there was a second season so I'm gonna go watch that.

First thing I can think of that Nuka Break does better than the Amazon show is their ghoul character. In the Amazon show it feels like the ghoul has a "forced coolness" factor that makes me cringe every time I see him. The ghoul in Nuka Break, however, feels very naturally cool.
 
i only watched s1 and i enjoyed it, it was solid but it use too much comedy between serious scenes (it isn't as bad as the lousy sex jokes that are crowded in amazon tv show but tonal consistency is essential) and references things that don't translate well to a tv show like vats mysterious stranger but i find the main characters more interesting than the official tv show like you said

I just had a frustrating conversation with my barber today.

He off-handedly mentioned that he started Fallout 2 which got me excited. I told him how much I love Fallout, especially the older games.

So, he asked me what I thought about the TV show. I told him that while I respect the set design, the props, and the costume design, overall the show wasn't for me.

He began to go on about how much he loved the writing and how it really got the feel of Fallout right. He said that Fallout was never really that serious in the first place.

It was almost like he was inviting me to debate him. Especially since afterwards he said he didn't finish Fallout 1 because it felt too linear to him. Bruh! And it was just the way he said these too. I'm not crazy! Anyways I just wanted to drop that here because it's rare I talk about Fallout IRL. And I mean this guy was confident in his claims about Fallout 1 when he stated he never even finished it.
 
The TV show has good writing?! Yeah, sure, maybe if you are a French guy with 90% of your brain missing and the 10% is off
Anyway, did you try to know why he thinks Fallout 1 is linear?

and this should not be an argument. Fallout 1 was serious, any game that does something worse than the original is a downgrade, this is not an excuse to do more wackiness in the same ip
