I, Robot

So about I, Robot, and robots in general:

Hmm, I don't think it would be possible for robots to actually learn in a human type of sense. They aren't actually living things, and we program what they do, and how they react. We have robots that learn input, and can adjust to it. If we don't teach it something like violence, war, and death, then they can never take part in it. But then again, robots would first be used for military purposes.
 
Sorry for getting the thread off-topic.

Here's my theory on robot sentience - if we make a true AI, it will not only learn from what are in effect "software upgrades" but from the world around it. If that occurred, the only robots who would be violent would be violent out of personal choice, just like humans.
