-Wolf-

I didn’t liked this Deeds wanker, didn’t liked him one bit. Sick bastard if I knew one.

After doing all I could for the wounded I went towards Jake. We and I never talked much in this trip but I liked his attitude.

I sat on the ground next to him. My body seemed to weight tons... it’s the problem of growing old in the wasteland. I lighted a ciggie and offered one to Jake, who took it.

“Thanks mate!”

“Why can’t he put a bullet trough his face?” I said to him, pointing to Deeds.

“Big shot, and important to the mission. We gotta stick with him, orders from above mate, nothing we can do about him!”
He replied.

I looked at him. He has been nothing but trouble since I joined the group, and the way he paraded around since Kilrick was unconsciousness. And I didn’t like it one bloody bit.

“Say Jake…that accent, were you from?”

“Australia! Heard of it?”

“Sure. My parents came from England, or what’s left of it, anyway.”

My parents. How did I remembered the bastards?

I immediately drifted my thoughts to other things. That woman… Stowe. Who was she? And were did she learned all those medical skills. Where did she got that kind of training, rare in the wastes.

And what bloody secret was she talking about? I knew all about that shit about “need to know basis” but to hide skills like that when it could’ve helped?

Edden showed up and sat next to us, bringing with her food and water.

“Eat, now!” – She said, without the least bit of concern in her voice.

I took the food but refused the water. I had my own drink with me most of the time.

“See you’re feeling better, Sunshine!”- I greeted her, smiling.

“Bah! Still wish we hadn’t pulled out of that bridge so early!” – She replied.

“Yes, I saw you. It seemed you were having fun.” – I said

“Always love to kill a few motherfuckers when I can!” – She answered with a grin.

“Don’t worry, luv’. I bet we’ll get a lot more bleedin chances for you to have fun.”

*Temporary Camp*

With the boss injured, the team all of a sudden had to police their own.

As soon as the wounded were stabilized, Eric decided to call for a group meeting.

"All right fellas, so what are we going to do next. With Kilrick out of commission, I vote that we all take part in the leadership of this team and its mission", Eric yelled.

"Great, here comes the diplomat"......muttered everyone.

"Well we need to do something. I am unfamiliar with this territory, so maybe one of you knows of a town nearby that can provide decent medical treatment?"

And so the group began to discuss about where to go and what to do.

*Unknown Location*

The camp is small but with a mere glance, any stranger would quickly deduce it was heavily fortified. At the main entrance of the makeshift camp lies an old pre-war M2 IFV.

A look inside the camp reveals a small squad of soldiers, fully equipped with combat armor and a mixture of light and heavy weapons.

At the command tent, a gruff looking colonel is being debriefed by his staff officer on current events.

"So what have do you have for me Captain?"

"We are currently about 10 miles from the last known location of Kilrick and his group. Recent intelligence indicates that there was a skirmish on the bridge itself. We don't know who fired first but Kilrick and his men had to force their way through. They probably have sustained moderate to heavy damage to their vehicle along with a small amount of wounded."

"Your report also states that Sgt. Teech managed to interrogate one of Kilricks men."

"Yes sir. After infiltrating the raiders, he managed to capture a man of asian descent. After a thorough beating, the merc disclosed that his team plans to ransack an old bunker about 50 miles North of our present position."

"Ok. Now what about the group that we are currently tailing?"

"I am sorry sir but we still haven't received anything from the scout we sent ahead."

"Alright then Captain, you are dismissed. Just make sure you notify me immediately on any new information regarding Kilrick or the mystery group that is following them."

Deeds came over to where Eric was holding his meeting.

"Not going to happen cowboy." Said Deeds. "THe Greens are paying the finder's fee, and Kilrick was hired to do the job by the Greens. So the Greens call the shots."

"And that means?" Asked Rama.

"Me." Said Deeds. "Now what we will do is see if we can pull that rocket out of Jasmin's armor. Or I'll have to leave her behind."

"and then?" Asked Eric.

"Kilrick said something about Gluttonville. That he wanted to go there for some supplies." Said Deeds.

"That's right." Said Jake. "Gluttonville- it's a large warehouse to the west of here. It's pretty cut off but they got lots of medical supplies, lots of everything really, but it's a bad neighborhood to go."

Clara, who was sitting next to Elroy, had been quiet thus far. Both had come through the bridge unharmed but somewhat shell shocked. "I heard of Gluttonville, but it's dangerous to go there."

The talk of danger got the others interested. "Details? Asked Edden.

Clara shrugged. "No tinkers will go there. It's too dangerous. They say there is a plague there that eats your skin. That, and then there are the Dire, and of course the deathclaws."

"Aye," Agreed Jake. "It's a bad place for sure. THey say before the big war there was a warehouse there, a central warehouse for these large stores called 'price clubs'. They say when the war happened these people got stuck inside and have been there ever since."

"Because of the supplies?" Asked Eric.

"Partly. But they're sick. A biological weapon hit the town and it left a genetic illness that eats you from the inside out. But it's not contagious anymore. Least I don't think so."

"A large warehouse would be a ripe target." Said Rama.

"It would be, but the entire place is supposedly rigged to blow up, so no one takes the risk. That and with all the Dire and deathclaw in the area, few actually go there. To dangerous. The Dire are quick, a blink and they got you carried off. ANd the Deathclaw, pretty bad too."

"And this is where you planned on going?" Asked Stokes.

"Aye." Nodded Jakes. "Cause if you're going to NY you need the radiation supplies, and they got the most there. Also Kilrick figures with Rig we can get in ok."

Elroy was intrigued with the idea of a warehouse. "What do they got?"

"Just about everything." Said Jake, "And enough canned food to last them forever. But they got no power. That's why Kilrick wanted the wind turbine. Figures he can trade medical supplies for an independent source of power."

Deeds nodded. "So we'll rest and get that missile out of Jasmin, then we go."

"And Deeds," Said Jake, "You're wrong. If Kilrick is out, I'm in charge."

But Deeds paid Jake no heed, having turned to walk back to where Edwards was working on Jasmin.

"So it's Gluttonville and the Big Apple? Count me in." Logan said as he jumped off the first floor of an adjacent building onto a parked truck.

The group did not know how to react, Logan looked completely healthy and full of energy. He looked stronger, more confident and had a darker tan then before. Logan cracked his fingers and then stretched, a bit like a cat would do after a good nap. Only Maddy didn't seem surprised, there was something strange about that women... She reminded Logan of Larry, Mo and Curly in some way. But that was absurd.

"Who says you are part of the group, numbnuts? You weren't even hired yet. We can't trust you..." Deeds said as he was halfway back from Jasmin and Eric.

"Well, as long as the boss is down, I'm the one holding information... It looks like I'm the only one who knows Gluttonville and the road to NY." Logan replied somewhat amused. "The only thing I ask of you is a ticket to NY, I probably won't be coming back."

"I still think you are a fucking Grey spy, joining us on the bridge was a bit overobvious wasn't it?" Deeds replied while closely observing Logans reaction, in the hope that he could get some clue if there was any truth in his statement.

"True enough my dear paranoid friend." Logan replied.

"What? Come again?" Wolf uttered in disbelief. No spy in his right mind would blow his cover.

"Yes, I am a spy and a thief. Yes, I have worked for the Greys. But, for the moment I'm in between jobs and taking care of some personal business, so no need to worry. The last few years I've been working for an NY faction, the Greys don't pay enough anyway. But that of course means I've got some interesting inside knowledge." Logan calmly explained. "Here you go, now you know. But remember my help comes at a price. I'm being hunted by 3 skilled hitmen, which I've dubbed Larry, Mo and Curly. They are ... Well, not to be underestimated."

Everybody was kinda caught off guard by Logans explanation.

"Now, I'll let you think about it. I see that Iron Maiden could use my help." Logan said as he walked over to Jasmin.

"Wow, hold it! You aren't touching that fucking missile! If you get the shakes you'll blow me to bits." Jasmin nervously replied.

"Just trust me and hold still, electronics are my playground." Logan said as he carefully began dismantling the missile.

Edden sat cross legged, toying with the dirt under her chewed nails with the end of a very sharp knife. Nothing to do. She was bored and hungry. She needed to punch someone in the face.

Edden needed to bust a cap in someone or something or she'd get cabine fever and turn into a saint. God forbid that.

Deeds watched as Logan worked, and listend to what Logan said as ge discussed his three pursuers.

He also knew that Edden was bored, and so was Rama.

Perhaps there was an opportunity here.

"Rama, Edden. If we got three pursuers, might be wise if you two do a little recon and see if they're after us. I'd also like to know if the Greys have arrived at Tappen Zee and if we need to boogie out."

"Right... Deeds" Stryfe said without an emotion. He didn't need to show Deeds how much he wished to cut his throat.

Edden got up to follow, but Rama stopped her, his arm light grasped her shoulder. "Stay put and keep an eye on Kilrick. Make sure Deeds doesn't play war doctor on the Boss."

Edden's face hardened but she swallowed. Despite thte fact the ranger's were disbanded, she still had respect for his rank. "Yes, Captain." She hissed.

"That's my Sergeant." He smiled and gave her a light peck on the cheek.

He walked over to the Tappen Zee to do some scouting.

Jake was helping the newcomer with the missile that has lodged into Jasmin's armor. Edwards had done a decent job of opening up the shell to get to the weapon itself, but the rocket had been damaged, perhaps why it hadn't gone off. But that only made the weapon more unstable. Jake was curious about what Logan was capable of, so he assisted but mostly watched.

Deeds, for his part, was near Kilrick.

"Kilrick, we need to know how to get into New York." Deeds was growing impatient and had begun to see Kilrick as more hindrance than asset. It wasn't that he had lost the girl, Angie, but that Kilrick challenged his leadership.

Kilrick just smiled.

"Come on Kilrick, I could end this trip for you here. I could make it difficult for you, for a long time." Said Deeds.

But Kilrick was getting his strength back and wasn't easily intimidated. "The major won't be happy if he finds out you fucked up his mission. Besides Deeds, even if I told you where to get in, there's no promise that you'd still be able to do it."

"What do you mean?"

"There's a security system around the City. If you don't know it, than you're more likely to screw it up." Said Kilrick.

"We can manage."

"You won't make it. Maybe Spengler could, but I doubt you would."

Maddy Stowe was keeping an eye on the two men. Kilrick was dangerous and a mercenary, but she knew where he stood and trusted him. Deeds knew only his loyalty and his violence. Deeds was dangerous.

But what mostly concerned her was the blood sample from the new-comer. She had decided to look at it under the microscope, but what she saw shocked her.

There was more than organic tissue in Logan's blood. Something else, something moving and alive yet not organic. Something that was replicating fast and changing his regular bloodcells.

To say that Logan was dieing wasn't exactly true. He wasn't so much as dieing as changing. It was a virus, but one of small robots.

She wanted to tell Edwards and she should have told Deeds, but she didn't trust him. Uncertain of what to do, she stepped away.

Wolf was quietly watching Stowe's work, and been peeking over her shoulder. When she left the tent for a smoke, he took a quick glimpse through the microscope. What he saw didn't make sense, but he didn't quite know he was seeing something mechanical.

Stokes had also been watching. "What is it?" He asked in a whisper, peering at Deeds who was still talking to Kilrick.

"I don't know." whispered back Wolf.

"Let me look." Said Stokes.

Wolf stepped back and Stokes took a look. But it was barely a glimpse. Deeds had turned to look at the two men."Where's Stowe?"

"She stepped out."

"Well don't go fucking around with her shit. We need it."

Recon

Taking his AK-47 and holstering a pistol side arm, Stryfe set off on his little reconissance mission. A mission he begrudgingly took from Deeds.

Taking the cover of darkness, Rama was nearing the Tampan Zee bridge, the bridge where a simple toll turned into a blood bath. Kilrick got torn up like a rag doll by shrapnel and Jasmin had a rocket lodged in her armor. Hmm, thank goodness for expired ordiance, Rama thought crouching among the small wrecks and dunnes of dirt and decay.

His feet passed a long bleach cadaver adorned in what remained some jump suit. A blue jump suit emblazed with a yellow, vertical stripe running from stomach to neck. The number area was torn out. All he could make out what appeared to be a one. It didn't matter. The corpse was dried and looted long ago.

Another victim of the wastes appetite for blood.

Moving along, Stryfe adjusted the sights on his assault rifle and peered at the smoke rising from the bridge. Watching as raiders either carted or killed their fellow comrades. He tightened the sight, getting in closer. He watched them make repairs, or limp around.

Then in the distance he watched three men approach. Odd characters. Kind of out of place. He couldn't get exact details, but somehow Stryfe had a forboding about these men. Little did he know they would be a nightmare Stryfe had never endured.

*Not far from Tappan Zee*

Nothing interesting was happening, so Rama decided to just watch the three strangers some more. They didn't look special or anything, but they didn't really behave in a normal way. They were, well, for lack of a better word, odd.

They did not look very strong or well armed, just 3 normal guys, wearing brahmin leather jackets and worn out denim pants. They were travelling light, only carrying light backpacks.

Apparently the brown haired one was talking to a raider in the town now. The other two were closeby, but looking at the bodies lying around. Suddenly the raider drew his pistol and took a point blank shot at the chest of the brownhaired one. To no effect whatsoever, to Ramas surprise. The dude didn't even budge. He should have, even with adequate armor. The raider received a violent shove and was thrown further away then Rama would've thought possible from a simple shove of a rather skinny man.

The three odd men drew their guns. Rama identified the guns as Heckler&Koch G11-Es, rather special and rare guns out in the wastes. Even more rare to see three guys pull three exactly the same G11s. The raider lying on the ground got a single bullet right between the eyes.

One of the three moved to the opposite side of the road. Looks like he is the one Logan called Curly, for obvious reasons. The two others slowly advanced down the side of the street without being in the middle of it, nor against the wall. This was textbook urban combat. Too much to the middle and you would be an easy target, too close against the wall and a bazooka was sure to blow you to bits even if it missed.

Most raiders apparently had enough combat for the day and doubled back and fled into the ruins. Nevertheless, Rama counted 9 confirmed kills in less then 5 minutes.

When a relative calm returned, the three simply continued looking at the corpses that were lying around, looking for something.

*Near the rig*

It only took about 5 minutes for Logan to disarm the explosive. Jake had been kind of surprised by the speed and care the missile had been dealt with. Fast but steady cuts of wires, prying loose contactpoints. Very strange for a man that had not so long ago been had the shakes all over his body.

Jasmin protests had obviously been unfounded. She let go a big sigh of relief when Logan pulled out the projectile after he had removed the firing pin, but before she could thank him, Logan walked towards the group again.

"We need to get moving again." Logan said, but was completely ignored by Deeds.

"Hey! Heads up, apeman." Logan called out as he threw the missile at Deeds.

"What the F-!" Deeds yelled as he barely caught the projectile. "Are you nuts?"

"According to my last psych evaluation? Yes." Logan replied calmly. "But don't worry, the missile is harmless now."

Deeds put down the projectile and walked over to Logan. A quick left hook hit Logan right on the cheek, flooring him.

"Who's funny now, dipshit? Learn your place or I'll bitchslap you again. It's not because you MIGHT have some information that we are going to let everything slide..." Deeds said while standing over Logan.

Thank God for stimpacks.

Stowe and Wolf had been tendering to my wounds, and I was rapidly healing, but without the super-stim it would have taken longer.

Stowe gave me the shot and whispered, "This is not a good time for you to be lieing down." Then surprised me with a kiss.

Perhaps I was wearing her defenses down.

Not without a bit of pain I got to my feet. I could see that the others who had been hit were all in a state of recuperation.

"How are they?" I asked Wolf and Stowe.

"Well enough to travel." Said Wolf.

Stowe only nodded, but she kept looking towards Deeds.

Deeds was standing over Logan and from I could gather he had taken the shell out of Jasmin. Good. We would need someone with tech skills.

But he had managed to piss off Deeds, always an easy thing to do, and Deeds was about to crush his head.

"Jake," I called out, loud and sharp. It stopped Deeds from whatever it was he was about to do. "Let's make some dust. Get everyone packed up and moving."

Deeds turned to face me, and was about to speak. But I spoke first.

"Deeds, let's stop fucking around and get on with the job. Where's Rama?"

"Scouting."

"Well leave the new guy alone. He works for me now." Then I turned and started helping out.

They were like hungry wolves with too much time on their hand. THey needed to do something, to get on the trail, to hunt. Waiting around was just going to make people snap at each other.

I noticed Jasmin giving Logan a hand up and a rag to wipe his bleeding mouth. Deeds lived for violence, but Jasmin had a code. She owed the new guy and would protect him if she could.

"Reik, give me our location and let's go get Rama back. I don't want to be here when the Greys show up and we've been waiting for them too long."

Logan wiped his mouth clear of blood with the piece of cloth and thanked Jasmin. Then they quickly went their separate ways and started scraping the wounded and material together, making them ready for transport.

Wolf and Stokes eyed Logan as he walked past to get his backpack, but Logan did not think anything of it as he thought it was still concerning the fight. Logan in his turn did the same to Stokes and kept a close eye on her. He had a terrible feeling everytime he saw her, a gnawing feeling in his stomach. There was something 'off' about her. Like something awful was hidden, yet only lying dormant under the surface, under the skin, ready to strike out.

Logan had learnt a long time ago to trust his instincts. In his line of work and his current situation he had found it to often save lives. But it could, of course, just be his paranoia getting the upperhand.

Stowes watched Logan as the others began to pack up the camp gear and load the truck. Deeds had gone away scowling and Kilrick was busy taking inventory of the gear that was damaged and what was salvageable. He was moving weakly, but it might just have been the after-affects of the super-stim.

Logan was unsure where to go, so Stowe took the initiative to pull him aside. She was vagually aware of the looks from Stokes and Wolf, but figured it was best to ignore them.

"We need to talk." She whispered, "and keep it quiet."

"Why have you been eye-balling me?" Asked Logan.

"Because I know something the others don't. " She said. "I know what's killing you."

Logan didn't speak for a moment, caught off-guard.

She knew and had figured it out.

That could only mean that she was not only highly trained in chemistry and organic-chemistry, but she knew something about computers and robots. Unusual knowledge for the wastes.

"You don't know what you're talking about." He said, his voice louder.

But Stowe whispered. "Don't be a fool. If you make a fuss you'll be seen as a threat and they'll kill you."

"Why?"

"Because that's what they know. But it's not what I know." She said. "So tell me, what happened to you that changed your blood."

"Why should I tell you?"

"Because I might be the only one who can save you." Said Stowe, "And maybe save us both."

-----------
OCC- ok Suaside, here you can tell a bit of Logan's backstory, but only as much as you think is fitting.

Remember, Stowe is one of the few (with Deeds and Edwards and perhaps Jasmin) who knows what this is about. But she won't know your back story. She is only aware of what's in your blood and what it's doing. At the same time, you're a bit paranoid and a loner, but maybe she can help you with your goals after-all. How much do you tell? It's up to you. She could be an ally or an enemy.

Meanwhile- we have to wait for Rama to continue.

Logan let out a loud sigh. He spend a couple of seconds pondering on what he would do. If he told the whole truth he would be in trouble or she just wouldn't believe him, but if he lied, it would catch up with him and leave him in a world of hurt...

"Ok, ok, I'll tell you... What I can." Logan decided.

"Wise choice." Stowe replied without a hint of emotion.

"I was working as a spy for some NY faction. I uncovered some things I don't even understand myself and the love of my life got caught in the middle. She and I tried to escape, but she got ... euh, how should I say ... stuck." Logan silently started explaining.

Stowe nodded.

"I got captured, most of this is fussy and I found myself free in front of a computerscreen where I received some crazy quest that made no sense. Shortly after that I got the pleasurable company of Larry, Mo and Curly, who aren't quite human..."

"Tell me about them." Stowe inquired.

"Let's just say one of them survived a headshot from my gauss sniper rifle. They are part of something inside NY, as far as I can tell, they are the enemy of whomever gave me the quest." Logan said.

"Tell me more..." Stowe kept on pushing.

"I have to find 'the answer'. Some fucked up riddle. But I will not give up until I can free Sarah. I'll help her, or die trying. That is about all I have to say to you about it for the moment, think about it what you will..." Logan said as he started to turn away.

Stowe wasn't quite satisfied. She reached out and held Logan's shoulder, not letting him turn away.

"So where is Sarah?" She ask. "And who has her?"

"You wouldn't fucking believe me anyway!" Logan shouted out irritated. Half the group now turned towards Logan and Stowe, curious of what was going on.

Stowe pulled Logan into an half demolished building to continue the conversation without to many eavesdroppers.

"Try me." She said calmly, but very steadfast.

"She's trapped ... inside" Logan replied while a tear rolled down his cheek.

"Inside what, Logan? The city?" Stowe inquired.

"Inside the goddamned mainframe!" He cried out as he fell to his knees.

"Who has her?" Stowe asked him. She was obviously not as surprised as one would expect.

"I don't know, but he wants me to solve the riddle." Logan replied, now down on the floor, beating his fists into concrete.

Logan's shout caught my attention, and saw Stowe pull Logan away from our attention and into a building.

While the rest returned to their work, I noticed Wolf and the new fellow, Stokes, still watching.

"You guys have things to do." I said, getting their attention.

Then I went to the building and got there in time to hear Stowe ask, "The one who wants the answer?"

"What answser?" I said, breaking into the conversation.

Neither spoke.

"It's nothing." Said Stowe. "Logan has a condition that forces his body to shut down. I am tyring to figure out what's the cause and he says it has something to do with an puzzle."

"A riddle." Said Logan

"Whatever." Said Stowe. "Regardless, it's a medical issue."

"Is he contagious? Can he ride?" I asked.

"I am not sure if he's contagious but I don't think so. And he can ride well enough but his condition will cause nervous problems. " Said Stowe.

"I can take care of them." Chimed in Logan.

"I'm not talking to you right now." I said. "In fact, get your shit together. We're moving and don't speak of this to Deeds or he might just grease you. In fact don't speak of this to anybody."

Logan nodded.

"Ok, get out."

Logan left to return to the rig. Stowe was about to pass me when I put out my arm and stopped her.

"So?" I asked. I was close enough to smell her skin.

"What I said." She replied. She was looking into me, as if daring me. ANd I knew she wasn't telling me everything, but I didn't know why.

"You're lieing." I sai

"That's classified."

"Bullshit." I said.

"You could torture me, if you're that kind of guy." She said, and smiled.

"It's tempting."

"Everything in good time." She said, ducked under my arm and went back to the rig, leaving me with more questions than answers.

The shadows...

Edden had taken to the cover of darkness like a creature of the shadows. Her brown eyes glinting like that of a predator in the darkness. Two pistols were holstered at her ribs and the shotguns strapped across her back and a couple throwing knives and two grenades.

She wasn't sure why she came out and followed Rama, even against his wishes, but she had a feeling that her former XO needed her help. Whether he liked it or not.

Twenty yards away she could make out Rama laying prone on the ground, his rifle being used as a makeshift scope to over look the bridge they just crossed.

Getting within a couple feet of him, Edden's feet didn't even disturb the earth beneath her soft tread. She got closer and closer till Rama raised his arm, not even turning to look at her.

"Come to my right and have a look..." He motioned her to come closer.

Edden rested her belly on the ground, shifting her legs to feel comfortable. "You aren't any fun to sneak up on." Edden hissed as she gathered the rifle and peered down the scope.

"Now what do we have here."

Logan was getting pretty bored... The gear and the wounded had been loaded up for a while now. Logan had stood there next to the rig, doing nothing, but watching people pack up their stuff. Pretty darn annoying stuff... The only hint of challenge was making sure he avoided Stowe & Kilrick, but that wasnt that hard either, him being a seasoned spy-thief kinda guy...

Eventually he started observing the people around him. Most didn't notice, except Deeds and that Wolf guy. Deeds obviously regretted not having stomped Logans guts out and that Wolf guy was eyeballing him as if Logan was wearing something of his, although he seemed to be doing his best to hide that.

Arg, this waiting around for no obvious reason was boring him out of his damn skull...

OCC- Rama and Edden- get something going will ya. We're waiting for you two!

ICC-

The rig was all packed up. The gunfight on the bridge had taken some toll on our supplies. We were getting low on plasma and bandages, and we were leaking coolant and some of the rigs armor was damaged. More concerning, we were getting low on .50 cal and other ammo.

But we'd be able to resupply at Gluttonville and maybe get some time to fix the rig.

But now I was worried about Rama and Edden. Deeds had sent them, wisely, back to check on the bridge. But the longer we stayed the more likely we would draw the Greys. We were just to damn close to the bridge and if the Greys figured that we had been bled, they would be on us faster than Dire on a wounded deer.

"Wolf, Eric, you guys take the cycles and see what you can find, follow Rama and Edden's trail and bring them back. We'll follow you."

The two cycles were in the Tinker cart with the rest of the turbine. It took only a few minutes to get them down and juiced. Then Eric and Wolf were off.

I noticed that Wolf was eyeballing Logan, and that Logan was trying to avoid it, and keep a low profile.

Logan was a thief, and an independent. You could see it on him. But there was more to it than that. I could see it in the way Deeds kept on checking on him as if Logan were an itch that wouldn't go away. Even Stokes was watching.

Figuring Stowe wouldn't speak on it, I figured it best to take it to Logan individually.

"Alright, let's go!" I called out and the rest of the crew got back on the rig and we moved out, back towards Tappan Zee to reclaim our people.
