idea-Character colors, hairs, looks

*The REAL Devil*

First time out of the vault
In Fallout Tactics you can shose what colour the character have on his armmor, and hair colour, and you can decide how his face should look like, i think you should be able to do soo in Fallout 3, too, but what do you think :?:

Well I wouldn't mind being able to play as more than just white male or white female, but I don't see a need to introduce character portraits when you only control the main character. I don't really like having someone staring out at me, even if it's my own ugly mug.

I have thought on that in Fallout 2, the Npc you have whit you it did not change the look on the armmor, i think that the Npc you have, should change look on what armmor that you have given them :?

Don't you think that might make it a bit hard to keep them apart, once they're all wearing Powered Armour or Advanca Powered Armour?

I think that there armour should change what they look like but keep their facial features, and well power armour and such i think in real life it would be hard to tell who was who anyway so they could have speacial features on armours that cover the whole of their body such as medals, rank badges or sybols etc. 8)

It'd be better if they didn't have umpteen suits of working Power Armour floating around. If FO3 is set as a sequel to FO2 the with the BOS in decline and the Enclave defeated working PA should be very rare. Though if there were enough sets to suit up more than your character then it'd be nice if they took the Human NPC's physical appearance into account, for instance when giving the Armour to Vic he should of said 'I can't possibly fit into that'. Just like Marcus is too big to wear armour.

I like red, but I can't remember the last time I put on a green shirt and it automatically turned red for me.

Until that happens, I think it's a stupid idea.

True, But you could remove their helmets, so that you would be able to see their heads.

It maybe be some hard to see the friendly NPCs :( but if you could change colour on the friendly NPCs :? and all the Fallout games are soo easy anyway 8)

Actually the enemies had a red circle around them in Fallout, which indicated they were enemies. And green ones for friendlies (if you chose that perk)..

Good that in FO2 that perk was automatically given...

Then the armmor look on your NPCs should change look :D

Firstly, I believe there is a mod that does that.

Secondly, the idea isn't so hot because if you kept people with the same types of full body armors (combat armor and up) it would be confusing who is who and you would waste time looking for them.

I liked the ability to pick which colour you wanted you character's clothes were, more so the hair colour and skin tone, which are more important to the feel of yu character (though not actually that important- but in an RPG it's the little touches that make you remember the game and enjoy playing it.)

Replay factor is improved as well. Not all your characters will look exactly the same.

NPCs not changing was an interesting problem and I'm not entirely sure how to solve it. On the one hand, it takes away from realism, on the other hand, if you fix it, you get the problem of telling the NPCs apart. If you added the colour thing from fallout tactics it would help.

you moderators have no humor(no ofence). it`s okay to flame but not to post silly post to prove a point
