Well it definately is porn in one sense. What struck me about it is how confident they are... being on stage doing all this stuff and not caring.... and how much passion they believe in what they're doing, and i found it very thought provoking.
 
I seem to remember watching a documentary on them several years ago. Probably on channel 4 or 5, probably at 1 in the morning.
They seemed to me to be a bunch of sex-crazed crackpots, there were parts of their lifestyle that were almost cultish, but I could be misremembering. They seem to be enjoying themselves tho', so good for them.
 
There's not a whole lot of thought provoking going on when people really really like sex. Maybe the internet has desensitized me to mental degenerates, but they just seem like crazy bitches that like to eat each other out to me.

Why would people want to make up a bullshit religion to justify having sex in public, though? I suppose that is kind of thought provoking.
 
In the past, people who played music and had orgies would have been called witches or pagans or druids or whatever. There's nothing new or thought provoking about their act, it's just history repeating itself. Whores making money from sex, idiots babbling about weird "nature" religions - these two things are as old as civilization. Trying to integrate the two into "rock n' roll" is pretty funny, but that's about it.

That's what I thought, and I think to some extent you're right. It's not so much their beliefs, but the way they really do seem to believe in what they do.... and they're completely unashamed of being sex crazed. It's hard to explain without watching the video really. It's not so much their beliefs, but the way they go about following this. Anyway in the video they don't really 'justify' their antics with anything other than 'we love cunt': like I said, it's the way they're completely and utterly unashamed of this fact (and not in an purely attention seeking way) and they'v chosen to live their lives this way.

And I should clarify, the religion they didn't make up, I think it's 'pagan' though one of the girls in the video makes the point that anything that isn't christianity or one of the other big religions is classed as 'pagan'.
And one of the things that one girl said in the video, that made me think, is that the clitoris is the only part of the body, male or female, that is designed purely for the purpose of sexual pleasure: it serves no other function in the body, other than to give pleasure. That just made me think - don't quite know why.

Designed? From an evolutionary standpoint, anything that makes someone enjoy sexual activity makes them more likely to reproduce. The only difference between the clitoris and the penis is that the penis is multi functional. Sex could - theroretically - be a standard biological process, much the same as eating, urinating, breathing, but people who enjoy sex are more likely to pass on their genetic material.

I have to agree with Kotario. Although it's been co-opted and modified, pagan is the christian equivalent of "gaijin" or "gentile" - in other words, it's whole purpose as a word was to lump everyone who isn't christian into one group.

Not quite. It seems to me it's just their gimmick to try to sell concert tickets. Think of it as a freak/side show. At the end of the day, they are trying to profit from their actions. Maybe, I am way off because I have not seen the movie but that's just the impression I get.
