I think they were intenionaly left out as the designers didnt want it to be a dungeon hack and slash game. Yes there would be baonetts, trophy samurai swords from WW2, and lots of home made "scrap swords). IMO they were intenionaly left out so there would not be the simularity to tradional RPGs

Wow, why do most of the senior members seem needlessly hostile? This guy will either burn himself out or lose interest. Why bother freaking out? Fallout purists suck. I'm not supporting BOS or Tactics (god forbid), but if someone wants a sword, just let him make the sword. The coding was the least of the problems, it mainly had something to do with the fact that at first, the fellow asks how to do it. They then get a good series of instructions, detailed and not that hard to follow. At which, they want direct links to the files that they could have found on the site. And then claiming a 56k speed was a problem when it's the same forum system was the final pile of bullshit that I really didn't accept at all. In addition to that, they then claim they had checked the files section before. Damn, it doesn't get any more clear than that.

You know what would likely happen? He would end up asking others to do much of the work, if their desire to not do much for themselves is indicative of any part of their motivation.

Someone expects people to do all the work for them, in finding and providing it for them without them having to look on their own and perhaps learn something, and then doesn't expect to be told to do some work on their own?

A full suit of yoroi in leather? That implies being naive as to what it really is made from.
The uniform worn under a suit of yoroi? In which, that was often made from hemp, brocade, and silk, as leather would have defeated the purpose of the construction of yoroi.
A do chestplate? That hardly could be considered an "outfit" at all, even when worn with the bracers.
About the only piece from a samurai's wardrobe that was often made in leather was the kabuto, the rest is used in minor roles. The hides to make leather were rare as feudal Japan was hardly the Wild West, and was usually used for more useful tasks that metal and other constructs weren't as suitable for. Sometimes leather was overlaid onto a metal kabuto just for the styling of the leather.
And on top of that, it assumes that a samurai would wear a suit in all black or find a person willing to make such a suit. Very unlikely and doesn't suit the samurai nor kajiya at all. Perhaps their uniform would be black, but they would not have the dishonor to wear a full suit of black. That's pretty much like calling yourself ronin from the start unless you have earned the right to, at which not many would trust you afterwards as it's a very mixed meaning in such a context. That might impress some clannie kid or someone on UO with a wardrobe that hasn't seen anything but a black dye tub, but it wouldn't otherwise make sense.
As I said before. Typical white trash ninja, and they irritate me. I was going to say they should stick to high fantasy, but that's probably where they got such a stupid idea.
