In what way (if any) has playing fallout changed your life

Even Bethesda fans thought the Wasteland Workshop DLC was shit. I too was duped into buying the season pass; while Far Harbor was itself cool, it felt like a Point Lookout 2.0.
Nuka World was really bland, I stopped playing after like ten minutes.
Haven't touched Automatron, but it looks fun.

Let's see...

If nothing else, it was one of many RPGs of the 90's that set my standards for the role-playing genre, even though the first time I actually played it was in 2008.

I'd also say it set my standard for what good dialogue and conversation progression is, whether in a game or book, and that has steered my writing style for almost a decade. (Stories with a lot of dialogue, and sparse but essential details, are my preferred type these days.)

It opened my horizon to video games that weren't Nintendo.

From middle school until sophomore year of HS, I was playing LoZ, Mario Kart 7, Pokemon, etc.
Started with New Vegas as my first Fallout; now I'm playing more horror/action/adventure/FPS titles.
It changed my outlook on video games a lot.

Fallout was also my first plunge into the post-apocalyptic/dystopia genre. Ever since then, I've read science fiction/dystopia like "The Machine Stops" and "By The Waters of Babylon"
And now I love the Mad Max trilogy.

By the Waters of Babylon is one of my favorite short stories. It was the only required reading for class that I actually enjoyed.

New Vegas came out when I was in high school and... long story short I ended up failing algebra.
