Industrial music and related genres

So, Ron, how do you feel about voice acting for Bethesda's new Fallout?

Ron -

In Aliens 4, did you tap Sigourney Weaver, or Winona Ryder?

If so, who was the better lay?

Sigourney Weaver. Despite her being older, she, as Paul Barman says in his song, has a "horny beaver".

And the joke was on Blade, because he never ended up using it on me, he used it on his (UNBEKNOWNST TO HIM...the familiar part, that is) familiar sidekick.

Hmm I ll give them a shot after work, who knows maybe it might suit my taste.

But bit off topic, since Ron is in willing mood to answer questions. My question is, how did you end up voicing Fallout? Thing is I found out waaay later that you did the voice over of overseer and intro and I didn't take you for voice over type. But as it turned out it gave the right polish for the cult classic we all enjoy. Last one are you gamer person?

Currently listening Suicide Commando and I do kind of like it. Thing is it reminds me of Crusader: No Remorse soundtrack.

Other than the ones I posted before, God Module has some decent tunes. Unfortunatly, most of them sound pretty alike, too much sometimes. Still, it's nice.

Combichrist sucks.

The genre also stagnates. There is more and more new shit every day and it becomes worse and worse.

I like the old Suicide Commando stuff. Or Einstürzende Neubauten, Beinhaus and Co. I am more the old-school industrial type. The real industrial and not this techno thing that trys to be evil but does only suck.

Well, I was at a bar with a couple of the guys who were working on Fallout. And I was low on cash and in order to keep from having to buy the next round of beers I agreed to do some voiceovers.

I play some video games. Pac-Man is fucking badass.

Industrial is pretty cool; as the term's used here it's an umbrella genre including nearly all goth-friendly genres of electronic club music, which means I hear and enjoy quite a lot of it.

I'm personally more into the industrial dark electro/EBM side of it than the harshest, noise-leaning half, but it's all better than most music. Industrial rock is another side of the coin - I like a lot of it, but it's really something separate.

Combichrist's been named, but it's really the name you can't miss in this genre. Current favorite is Electrohead.

Funker Vogt (Vörwarts is a good sample)
Icon of Coil (which is really just another face of Combichrist)
Rotersand (awesome, but more dark electro - try Storm or Dare To Live, or Exterminate Anihilate Destroy if you want it harder)
Suicide Commando has a lot of noisy crap, but Hellraiser and Cause of Death: Suicide are well-deserved classics
VNV Nation is softer and tends to whine, but has some good tunes. Try Chrome of Further.
Grendel is decent, but really stands out when remixing other artists' crap. Zombie Nation and Cuttin' and Drinking are favorites.
Zombie Girl is just plain fun ground-stomping music
Velvet Acid Christ isn't really for dancing, but nice to sit back and really listen to. Good lyrics.

Gotta love Puppy and the Nails.
Project pitchfork, Front Line Assembly, Assemblage 23, The Birthday Massacre and shit I hear in clubs
Ministry is hit or miss for me, anyone want recommend some albums or must have songs?

Filth Pig, Dark Side of the Spoon, Animositisomina

Others will disagree and say those albums are shit, but they're the best albums Ministry put out.

But really, everything by Ministry is good except for that new wave British world music faggot bullshit (aka With Sympathy/Work for Love).
