Ugh... Well, Granny still beats the crap out of any of those premade 3d engines.. All granny really does is provide simpler calls to more complex stuff. It doesn't provide a premade 3d world engine per say.
Technically they could even go so far and only use part of Granny (say the 3DS mesh loading part) and have made their own stuff (with normal DX calls) from there... But um, well, this is BIS.
