Interplay has not announced Fallout 3?????

I must be behind in times, ( or Interplay is ), a friend of mine just called me today to tell me he saw the promo for Fallout 3.
What gives? According to him it is available already in the U S.
Can someone confirm?
 
A few years ago, when FO2 was relatively new and fresh there was a link on this board where you could pre-order FO3. But it was fake. Well not fake but the site had an add with the text: "Release date: Around 2004" or something like that, so judge for yourselves how real that add was.
