interplay is dying....

Al Bundy

First time out of the vault
this thread is not flaimbait!

everybody keeps saying how IPLY is dying/in financial debt etc..
what i want to know is,WHEN are they gonna go bankrupt, when can we look at their grave and say justice is served?????

from what i see, there still gonna be around for some time.....

They probably have enough money to stay alive for almost a year. Assuming they continue on the path they are on.

I don't really know how stocks work, but they have a large volume. That might keep them open for a little longer, I'm assuming.

Look, interplay may be making mistakes, but I dont think we want them to go that far.

No wait, hear me out before you press the flame now button.

Think of the poor people who work there, doing tasks totaly unrelated to their crappy software, if Interplay goes under, who is going to feed their kids? The Janitors (Come on, if they realease crap, think about how much those guys have got to clean up there!), Secretaries, Llama Trainers, etc.

Learning a lession is one thing, but I dont want any coladerol damage. Lets just hope for a realy bad year, that doesnt send em into chapter 11, and gets the current administration fired, then they can employ someone who knows what they are doing.

If interplay gets carved up, those Fallout rights may end up somewhere we dont want them, well, somewhere else where we dont want them. Someone who wont do it justice. Someone who wont realase it expect for their propetry System, with quite cartoon Characters, and power ups shaped like vegetables...

Super Mario Fallout? I cant think of much worse than that.

Then that game would likely get torn to pieces, too.

As for those who work at Interplay, if they can't see the writing on the wall, perhaps they DO deserve that questionable check. Read the comments by some ex-BIS devs about how they couldn't do direct deposit anymore.

As for most of the industry, they can see that Interplay is going down hard.

Rosh

Can you point out the references to difficulties with direct deposit? I haven't stumbled onto that yet.

I can't remember the exact thread at this short of notice, but I know it is in one of the related topics on the News forum.

Oops, my bad :)

Wouldn't it be great if a freak accident happened, like a satellite fell from orbit and smooshed him in his car while on the freeway, but only if a news crew was filming at the same time?

The fact is that most companies don't have their own janitors or things like that. They hire out a company, and then that company does the janitorial work. Same thing with a lot of peon type jobs in companies. Fact is, the people will still technically have jobs. The janitorial companies and stuff will have lost a client in Interplay, but the people will still have jobs.
