Interview with Strehse and Husges on Krawall

Krawall did an interview about the Fall with Carsten Strehse and Jeff Husges. Sadly, it's in German. Still, here's a bit I tried to translate (bit of a chance of this translation being way off):

Krawall: Jeff, can you use your experiences from "Fallout 3" on [working at] "The Fall"?
Jeff Husges: "Fallout 3" being a similar project has helped me start working on "the Fall". The games are similar in several ways, so there are many aspects [of the Fall] with which I'm familiar

"New points" in the interview:
- It may very well be that SSE hires further ex-BIS employees
- SSE will continue to do post-apocalyptic games

So how involved in the game are you, Jeff? I can't imagine that you transfer hundreds of mb across the net of game code, right? I'm not a programmer and never have been so no idea how these things work.....

Nope, I'm just a designer monkey. You know, quests, dialogs, area and NPC design - that sort of thing. I scribble it all down in Word, fire it off to SSE via email, and wait for them to tear it apart. Just like at Black Isle!

I suppose I should pick up some more technical skills, though. Animation looks really interesting.

If you're designing NPCs, make sure they change the haircuts :)

Also, you can fix the language issue with the dialogue that might come up. Keep up the good work and good luck to ya!

Rosh what do you have against a good old beaver? :D

Maybe it's because the hairs get stuck between his teeth.

Thanks you! I'll be here all week!

"Fallout" is mentioned nine times in that interview.

"The Fall" is also mentioned nine times in that interview.

They also mention Baldur's Gate quite a bit. It sure is nice to see interest in "The Fall" is so high. Actually, three-quarters of that interview wouldn't exist without the ex-BiS "situation".

*whistles quietly*

Thats the dreadful plan, to have people go "Fallout? Fall? Its the same who cares?". Confuse them by mentioning both in interviews.

The continuing logic behind your arguments and the way you support them all continues to astound me
