IPLY article

GameIndustry.biz have posted an article about the upcoming fall of IPLY and Acclaim, there's not alot of new info but here's a quote:
Things aren't looking good for two of the oldest names in the industry at the moment. Interplay's problems are well-publicised, and the demise of the publisher has looked inevitable since Titus began stripping off the valuable assets of the company some years ago - although nobody quite expected the bizarre turn of events which saw CEO Herve Caen claiming that building a Fallout MMORPG was going to turn the firm's fortunes around. That his frankly mind-boggling announcement came in the same fortnight that saw both Ultima X: Odyssey and Warhammer Online being cancelled only added to the surreal nature of the claim. Nobody is happy to see a one-time standard-bearer such as Interplay in such deep trouble, but Caen does at least seem determined to keep entertaining the audience until the fat lady sings.
Cheers to Briosafreak for informing me..

Ole Herve's screwed, plain and simple.

With MMORPG folding left and right while still in development, I would bet that anyone he approaches for capital, will review Herve's plan that a Fallout MMORPG, compare it against companies that have closed down their development and then laugh him out of the door.

And if they do anything smart, like basic research into what online fallout fans they can find (such as NMA) they'll discover nothing.

That is, NO desire for a fallout MMORPG, and EVERY desire (including sexual ones, in some of you :P ) for Fallout 3

I don't know what's worse: Herve saying that this Fallout MMORPG is going to turn around Interplay's fortunes, or Saddam still insisting that he's still president of Iraq. They're neck and neck right now...

Meh, dont insult Sadam by comparing Herve to him.

Sadam is the scum of the earth, and he doesnt deserve that treatment.

Well, some people still have faith in Saddam as President of Iraq. No one has faith in ol' Herve. 'Cept maybe Chucky.

wtf i thought the iraqi information minister said there was no american forces in their capital?!! how did saddam get captured?

Yet, i believe there are still people stupid enough to think it's a good idea.

You know that Chucky was canned over eight months ago, right? He was canned before Fallout 3 was canned.
