So anyone want to rent the former house of Interplay/Black Isle ? Evidently Arden have already posted the old IPLY building up for rent, any takers?

Other news about IPLY is that they still haven't file the annual report, here you can check the status of the paperwork..

So we were correct when we said IPLY had left the building, great job Hervie.. Way to ruin a company and lots of peoples lifes...

Oh man, you can't let something dangle like that, mister.

That's just tooooooo tempting.

their site is down for at LEASt 2 days. I wanted to download the patchs for baldur's gate 2 and it's expansion but the site is down. And when the site for such a (or at least it was) huge compagnie, it mean it's dead. Or at least they are having even bigger problem.

Duh, their site has been down atleast two weeks.. But I know their fileserver was up last week...

I bet you've said that line before.

You know, ever have one of those times you wish you could have caught yourself before you typed something.

I won't edit it, because that's pretty damn funny

If you really-REALLY- must have patch support and all the PC fan sites vaporize when Interplay whimpers into a black hole.

http://www.macplay.com/

Macplay handles Interplay titles ported for the Macintosh.

Don't have a Mac? It's not as bleak as in the days of the "Performa's".

If you're lucky your town has a big enough Mac market that G3's and G4's more recent than the Beige Tower G3 can be had at used prices.

Online prices seem high for what I could find a used 'basic' box in Columbus, Ohio.

Want an old Mac recent enough to support OS 10.2 or even better OS 10.3, without hardware issues that require heroic measures and OWC's OS 10 patch. OS 10 compatable can use PC RAM and hard drives and will slot the 32 M(PCI) or 64 M(AGP) video cards by ATI.

At the retail level FO may be $19, FO2 $29, BG $19, BG-SC $10-19,
BG2 $29-39, BG2 part2 $29. The best buys may be online.

Not a "CHEAP" bargain, but the Mac should network with your PC. A Mac may be the way to get online when the next MSBlaster clone has most XP PC's cycling to shutdown and reboot. The known Mac OS 10 security breaches are trojans and Apple does the update dance just like Microsoft, just not EVERY week.

Double Entendre Akimbo!

Double Entendre Akimbo!

The 'title': ""The Other White Meat ... "" was a reference to the 'Lifeboat Situation' that may OR may not exist for gamers in ""... In this Post Interplay Scenario"".

It alludes to an extreme survival situation when one's access to FO, or BG may depend on one's ability to jump to another computer platform.
Thus the pop reference to an ad campaign for a consumable protien.

"Cannibalizing" PC hardware might be a dire necessity. Thus a reference 'pings' off "MEAT", again.

The synchronicity with the Pope_Viper and Mr. Teatime ""tête-à-tête""
is a random coincidence, and does not purport any Jungian or Freudian
'slips' in REAL TIME(TM). Supply your own temporial ballast on that tack.
