And so it was
Our beloved corporate gods
Claimed they created a new Fallout
Allowing it to sink as low in one year
As commercial TV has in 25

But sales are slumping, and no one will say why...

Could it be they let out one too many... LOUSY GAME?

Nice one Wild :D

You don't see the difference in bandwidth from going from a multitude of hits down to not serving pages at all? Pings and page requests don't qualify to be measured in kilobytes.

I think you lost me.. ;)
But what has that to do with anything? yes they use mutch less bandwidth, and send less data. but if you buy a big fiber connections you don't pay for how mutch you send or recive, you pay an annual fee. :D

Please tell me you did a DNS check before you made that remark.

Wait...don't. Else I'd think the world was messed up. :)

:? *Reads a text book* :?
I think after due consideration I dont know what the heck you guys are talking about ;)

It probably came down to a choice between the ping pong tables or the website, it was a hard call but after the staff meeting the other day it was decided to keep the tables as this is more in line with their core bussiness plan.

Interplay: By Herve, for Herve

I did.

The DNS server is:
DNS-01-001.ROOT-DNS.COM 64.7.192.162
DNS-01-002.ROOT-DNS.COM 64.7.192.163

owned by vitalstream.com. so either vitalstream just provides DNS for them, or they have one own server located at vitalstream, or one vitalstream provides. either way both the DNS and Net server is still running. :D

Now look up "Vitalstream" and see what they do. I doubt Interplay's paying yearly for that if they're taking down their site. It's more likely that they know they couldn't keep up with their bandwidth plan and would be charged extra for excess bandwidth.

Therefore, the site had to go in order to provide Sean K. Reynolds with a better ping-pong table. :)
