Is Skynet with me?

Zulu-Echo14

First time out of the vault
I got SKynet, but whenever I try to analyse and talk to him, he is never referred to as Skynet, did I miss something? Did I need to do anything after getting the bot to run? I tried going to control console but it said the data is corrupted or something like that, is this robot Skynet or just a plain old brain bot?

If it's talking to you in any coherent manner then it is Skynet.

If by coherent you mean he doesn't talk like "N-n-n-n-n-new com..mands?" then no, he isn't, did I need to take out the cybernetic brain to get Skynet? Because I tried repetedly and couldn't get it.

To get the Cybernetic Brain out you need Science 121%, and if you install any other, then it's not the real Skynet inside. It can't level up, repair itself, and stuff.

... ****... didn't a guide that is usually quoted here said that you didn't need more then 101% on non combat stats? God dammit...

Skills, not stats. A typo for sure.

Too bad for you I know this specific guide by heart ;)

So, try and read carefully. ;) And don't worry, Skynet is fun but not really a USE unless you really want a sniper party of Vic, Cassidy and this bot.

I didn't actually read the guide, I only saw that little quote, but yeah your rigth, who cares about the super ultra advanced AI, if he was on one those big security bots with rocket launcher bodies, then I would be annoyed for not getting him.

P.S: What are the best NPC's that I should have in my party?

You have this evil habit of quoting the whole post right above yours. I'm not trying to be a mod here, but in my opinion it's somewhat pointless and thus generally unwanted (I used to be a mod somewhere else and pointed that out, too, so maybe this justifies me ;)) - except if you want to answer to some points one by one, but not outright like this. Just a thing.

As for your question: depends on what you like, HtH or ranged combat, or even a combination. You can even get yourself a party of dogs if you're that kind of guy ;)

Ok, I edited the post. I just want to know what are the top NPC's, right now I have Cassidy and Vic botch with Power Armor's and Sniper Rifles, I heard that Cassidy was the best, Sulik was the second best (but I can't find him in Klamath, can anyone give me a map?) and Vic the third best.

Sulik, Goris, Marcus should be your choices. Marcus should get a big laser rifle (give him the one in BOS base down in san fran.)

I think Marcus rocks best with a turbo plasma rifle. I always keep Sulik. He can stomach loads of damage and it's just awesome to see him supersledge people all over the map. I never let him use any weapons other than sledge and super sledge. I always thought it would be out of character to give him an SMG or something. My third companion varies. Most often I choose Cassidy.

but the fact that Marcus cant wear anything is annoying, I wish we could dismantle Horigam's armor and give it to Marcus. then we could have our own version of Frank roaming in cities :P

Goris can't wear armour either, and yet you proposed him for an NPC. And his Claw is nothing compared to a Pulse Rifle or something ;)

And I'd like to see you try to mend that armour of Horrigan's after all the whacking he receives from you, his torso being torn off and stuff :P

Sulik (SuperSledge or Ripper), Cassidy (Hunting Rifle ---> Gauss Rifle) and Vic (Hunting Rifle ---> Gauss Rifle).

Sometimes I use sunglasses/charisma raise to get Myron on board because he's fun, and I always give him the second best armor just to make sure he survives. But most of the time I just go for the Sulik- Cassidy- Vic-combo. They're all you need.
