Issue With Inventory FRM That Is Invisible In Storage But Not On The Ground Or Hand

    I made a couple of extra weapons for the hell of it to add to the game, but for some reason, two of them are invisible other than if they are on the ground, just the inventory FRM isn't showing in game. It does everywhere else, though. I've had this happen to me many years ago, but I don't remember now what happened or the solution. :facepalm: The strange thing is it's only two particle ones and I've made a couple of others that work fine. Everything is also showing up in all of the folders (PROTO, FRM, etc.) just not in storage, either mine or an NPC. Thanks for any assistance on this.

    Oh yeah, I did add these later on in the game and changed out in World Map .txt these weapons with others I had before there. There was one NPC whom I equipped with one of the new FRMs that actually did show up, though.

    Do they match F2's color palette? I added about 10 different weapons a while back, and that seemed to be the recurring problem.

    Not sure why it's working with the NPC from the worldmap though, that's odd.

    Well, I got it to work. I just completely start the game over (one of these days I'll actually finish the damned thing :razz:) and redid it by adding FRMs from another folder I had them stored (don't know why that would make a difference, but I did it anyway just in case) and this time it seemed to work. I added them to the inventory of my character with vad's editor in the beginning of the game (I created everything before I started a new game) and everything showed up there. I'll find out later if they'll show up with the NPCs that I equipped them with in the encounters. Maybe I had to just make them before I even started a game for the pictures to be visible in the game. :shrug: So far, it seemed to have worked.

    Huh... so this may require starting a new game?

    I wonder why it's certain FRMs? I had some problems that I couldn't fix, and just ended up not using the inventory icons, unfortunately.

    I don't know. At least it seems to be working now. I've been through my first encounter where I implemented the new weapons and they were there. I guess I have to start a new game to do that. Maybe it has to do with that worldmap.dat file that shows up when you get a game going? I've never looked into what that really does.

    That could be it. I usually just mod the game as I go, and it usually works, but I guess for inventory frm's you need to start a new game. that's good to know, as I have quite a few weapons with good inventory images I would like to use on my next playthrough.

    Yeah, it all seems to be working now. Although, I've been tempted to try again to see if it would work or not since one of them actually did and I didn't start fresh when I did it. Maybe I should leave well enough alone for now. :razz:
