Jagged alliance site

That site is something like 100 years old :D I´ve pretty much stopped checking it out since updates are so scarce - shame on you Jebus!
You should know that making news up and downright lying is better than being a dead fansite . . Or have you tried those already..?

There ain´t any in JA Galaxy?

Most of it is tactical combat, so you should browse through the tips-department.

Use cover - trees are your best friends.

When you create your custom character, max the Intelligence so that he/she will learn fast.

Hire Gasket, and other cheap mercs that know how to Heal or Repair stuff - they´re handy in maintaining your fighting mercs.

You´ll learn as you play . . that´s half of the fun.

Yeah well... My log-in links and passwords and stuff are still on the hard-drive of my other computer, and that one has been out for a month now... Perhaps I should finally get it repaired or something.

But meh... To be honest, I lost most of my fire for JA3 when it turned out that a) JA3D was going to be a quick-buck-game b) JA3 is going to developed by one hell of a shitty outsourced company and c) Strategy First is about to go bankrupt, so there isn't going to be a JA3 anyway...

does anyone have a good walkthrough for JA 2?

A walkthrough for JA2? Hmmm... I don't really think there would actually be much use to that, since JA2's about as 'free-play' as a game gets. Your only goal is to kill the Evil Queen, and the way you do it doesn't really matter much, in the end. But anyway, there's supposed to be a JA2 guide out somewhere, but Patusco, that gives you all the reading on JA2 you'll ever need. It's kinda like Per's guides for Fallout, only even more elaborate.

But hey, if you're stuck anywhere, or have any questions, I'll be happy to answer them for you. I must've finished JA2 dozens of times, so I know it completely by heart...

Christ I hate Ira. The only thing she's good for in my books is being a pack horse for all my stuff. You put her on mute and she still shouts stupid shit like 'THERE'S THE ENEMY!'

I'm incredibly stingy in that game too. I've only got mercs that come for free ($20 a day for Shank is pretty much free), the only one of which is any good at fighting is Mad Dog, so Ira and Shank just sit on the edge of the map and then come in when the fighting's over to clean up all the shit. The only merc I've ever hired was Steroid, and he was good. I turned down that ice cream guy because $120 a day was a bit steep, even with three or so mines under my control.

I got sick of training militia after the first couple of towns, and it's not like I'm ever going to go back to them unless it's to retake a mine or something.

Hey Jebus, how the Hell do you get in to see Kingpin in San Mona? My friend says there's supposed to be some guy in the bar that you go to to have a boxing match and then you can go see him or something, but the guy is never there.

My favorite thing is to take the custom merc and two good hired mercs, usually Shadow and Stephen, and take the first mine. After that, it's on.

As for seeing Kingpin, the guy you have to see is near the ring. You just need to win the matches he puts you up against and it should make that available to you, but I'm not exactly 100% on that.

Or even better, you can make a newspost about every stalker preview/ interview to grace the interwebnet.

Well, first off you have to make sure it's the right sector. The sector where the bar fight are held is D5, and it's all happenin' in that big building to the northwest.

You have to use a relatively charismatic merc to get in though, a rating of 35, or 40, not sure, should do. Talk to the muscle at the door and he'll let you in.

Inside, talk to a guy named Darren. He should be standing outside the right, but he's not *always* there. You'll have to experiment a bit going in different times of the day to try and find him.

So anyway, take the challenge, bet 5000$ on yourself, and use a Martial Arts or Hand-to-Hand specialist merc to do the fighting. And if you manage to defeat all three opponents in a row, the Kingpin will request your presence in his house.

Of course, this all only works if the Kingpin isn't hostile to you and you haven't stolen his money from the abandoned San Mona mine.

I always killed Kingpin. I'm still not sure why.

Anyways, the site is great. Besides is good to know someone is making JA3 (Just find out!). I got a bit disappointed about the walls thing tough.
Don worry Welsh, even if the site is 100 years old, i didn't knew it, so thanks for the link.

I found this walkthrough that seems to hold many of Jagged Alliance secrets. What do you do with those marbles? X-ray tubes?

find out more here-
http://faqs.neoseeker.com/Games/PC/jagged_alliance_2_a.txt

My first walkthrough. I just took Cambria and about to go for the SAM site next door. Got lots of mercs and am playing a toughman game. My personal merc- stealthy nightfighter. With the big ear and the night goggles, toss in a silenced MP5k and it kicks ass. Still got to get in close to use the silenced 9mm.

Try this guide. It will explain the game to you in such detail you'll actually be able to calculate the percentage of change you'll have to make a shot. It's truly an amazing guide. Patusco is (or was) truly the Per of Jagged Alliance.

Also, if you're finished with the regular JA2 game, you should try JA 2 Urban Chaos. That's a total conversion MOD made by the JA 2 MOD squad (Masters Of Disaster) that truly, truly kicks ass. It must be one of the best mods of any game out there. Even better than the original, if I may be so bold.

My JA2 CD1 is broken scratched or something and I can't install the game, so I was thinking in getting the JA2 Gold Pack.
Does the JA2 Gold Pack has any improvements on the original JA2 game? because I already have JA2 Unfinished Business.
And
Is it necessary to have the regular JA2 game to play JA2 Wildfire?

I would had made a new topic for this, but I am not sure if it is necessary.

IIRC, the gold pack has some much needed AI improvements. And yes, you will need ja2 to play wildfire. But I think the gold pack comes included with Wildfire, though.

*EDIT* You shouldn't buy Wildfire anyway. It's nothing but a rip-off. Get JA2UC instead, it's free and a hundred times better.

I still want to buy Wildfire anyways (is not me who is paying for the game anyway) Are you sure Gold Pack comes with Wildfire? I kinda have to make a "request list", and the less I ask for the better.
I might download UC later though.

No, it does not. The Gold Pack contains Jagged Alliance 2 and Jagged Alliance 2: Unfinished Business.
