Finally there is a date for those fans of the Jericho TV series on CBS. Below is a portion of a CBS press release.

01.03.2008 PRESS RELEASE: Episode 2.1 "Reconstruction"- Season Premiere

FOLLOWING THE BLOODY BATTLE WITH NEW BERN, THE CHEYENNE GOVERNMENT STEPS IN TO HELP THE CITIZENS OF JERICHO REBUILD THEIR COMMUNITY, ON "JERICHO," TUESDAY, FEB. 12 ON THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK

Jericho is scheduled to air in the 10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT time slot... a wee bit late, but hey! It worked for Lost right...?

Lets see where this goes.

I like Jericho, it ain't really falloutish but its distant. I was expecting more violence and adultry type themes.

It IS a little bit too Family-Amuricah-moral values-neochristian-"Malcolm in the middle"-ish.

I enjoyed it nonetheless. Hope this half-season leads to the series being produced again.

Adultery would've been cool, maybe.

Maybe they'll change the formula a bit for the second season? It sure would be nice not to listen to all the whiny uninteresting characters all the time.
Moar conspiracy plzz

The series desperately needs more action, more realism and less american whining. And for god's sake, stop killing of inconvenient characters and story arcs. Other than that I've enjoyed watching it.

Also, what the fuck is a Febuary?

The episodes that are about to air have all ready been filmed. So we will most likely not see a differing plan of events based on what input has been given. Here is to hoping the series is taken in that direction anyway.

It's Latin for "Soon"

Near the end the series seemed to be turning more serious in tone, stepping in the right direction.

I have a feeling that we will be taking a step back from the direction it went at the end of the season... Unless the military organization that will help out the townsfolk of Jericho end up being super evil, I just see things getting dry.

I do hope I'm wrong. I'm with you, I enjoy a bit more darkness to things. My favorite episode to date was Rogue River.

I had another thought... What if the mayor is not dead? It's a silly thought no matter how one looks at it... But, I've seen sillyer happen in a TV series.

I am watching the second season now. I am not going to tell you how it is. I'll let you watch it.

*squints* and just how did you come across this material?

Really? I thought so at first too, but then it struck me it resembles some settings in Fallout 2 a lot.

Like some kind of pseudo-fascist order rising after the nuclear war. Think NCR, think Vault city.

*SPOILER*

And there's a big post-apoc war going on between the two major ex-US countries, with the UN in between.

*SPOILER*

*1/2 spoiler

Yeah, but there's no desert, radiation sickness, mutants, guys dressed in one armed leather jackets... mutants. It's like 24 hours in a post-apoc setting (of course, without a prison). That is because it's more terrorist-conspiracy oriented rather than everybody dead, irradiated, survivalist oriented. I mean, at the beginnig of the show i really thought another superpower was behind it all...

*end of 1/2 spoiler.

It's not appropriate discussion.

I disagree... One can simply say, "Bit Torrent" or "alternative means"

Those that do download the program illegally better support it, come its TV date (assuming they are in an area where its televised). It's not fair to watch it, decide you don't like it and rob it of that support imo.
