Joe wakes up from his deep monthly Gecko coma the crust in his eyes falling to his sides clapping on the floor after it rolls across his green rotting body. He stands up hearing the reassuring crack of his semi-fractured femur, making him have to shuffle across the car lot looking like a zombie.
< He makes it to his Cafe and unlocks his front door and greets the smell of rotting meat with a stiff sniff, being the only Ghoul in town with a still semi-intact sniffer. As he shuffles to his bar he recognizes the sound of the sirens he picks up his sawed-off shotgun and shuffles to the door placing his larvae infested back against his door he hears a shotgun blast and an assault riffle burst over the screaming of his friend Lenny screaming, ‘well there goes any chance of a doctor in town’ he thinks to himself. The door burst open as Joe hits the floor spinning on to his back he points the shotgun in the direction of the door to be greeted with the sight of a Vault City “guard” with an combat shotgun in hand searching for a ghoul to pump with it, while missing the sight of a shotgun wielding ghoul on the floor. Joe thinks quick and shoots the guard in the legs just as the guard catches a glimpse of the ghoul, blood and bone burst in all directions as Joe squeezes his eyelids shut to keep the blood out of his already red eyes.
< Joe strips the guard and dons his newly acquired metal armor, he shuffles to the door to make sure no one had suspected anything, and one of the friends of the recently deceased guard calls out “Yo Nathan, you comin’ out.”
< Joe pauses thanking whatever god made Smoothies this stupid and replies “Yeah man just… go ahead I’ll be out in a minute”
< ”Don’t tell me you’re getting freaky wit’ one of those corpses”
< “…Ya got me” Joe couldn’t help but snicker
< “Alright but remember the attack on the first nuke building’s is in 10 minutes”
< Joe checks the clock on the wall “Oh I’ll be there”
< He shuffles toward the back door to makes his way to the nuclear plant…
