After playing so many times, being stuck in predictable routines, I changed my approach to that situation. Usually I would try to "outsmart" the whole setup, and come sneaking down from the north of the map, and go right for the farm-house with the beastlords and death-claws. This always proved extremely problematic, especially in terms of saving the ghoul inside.
Instead I'll make sure to approach from the east, behind the ghoul defensive lines. Ill hurry my troops out, put them in position, and from there it is merely a breeze and nobody has to suffer even a scratch. My team will singlehandedly pick off all the incoming wolves, beastlords and death-claws, for then to hop up on their feet, storm the remaining 2? inside the farm house, and just blast them to hell.
All in a days work!
