Killing the Overseer

Often have I tried to kill the Overseer, but I discovered that the only way to kill him is to wait 'till the end of the game and shoot him when he tells you to f**k off. Even though I often had success killing him like that, I never really discovered how you do that. I am always standing there with the TPR and sometimes I kill him, but sometimes I don't.

My question is: How can you make sure you kill the bastard when he is standing in the doorstep?
Does anyone know this?

(I believe this is not a gameplay topic but correct me if I'm wrong).

Wrong forum. Also, I think you can find the answer by using search, but I'll answer anyway.

you will kill the overseer if:
1. You have to Bloody mess perk
or
2. You have a negative karma
or
3. You press "a" right after he finishes talking, initiating combat and giving you the chance to shoot him

And indeed, searching for "kill the overseer" brings up this result
