Just beat the game!
[spoiler:fa5ebc1d1e]
- I chose to be independent. I was never going to work with the Legion, and I didn't trust Mr. House. I feel like life would be better if I were in charge of everything, anyway. However, my ending was not particularly positive. I wasn't particularly pleased with that, but I accept it, because life doesn't always work out (remember the Broken Hills endings?)
- I wish there were more ways to forge alliances, but again, the lack thereof is realistic. Mr. House would not allow me to let the Brotherhood live, and after I replaced the Brotherhood elder, the new one would not ally with NCR either. And when I took over Hoover Dam, there was no way for me to make nice with NCR. I was a little pissed off about that.
- Some of the quests were really interesting and well-done. Some were more fetch quests, run-here-and-then-run-there, not exactly awe-inspiring. Overall, the quality and complexity of the quests far outstrips Fallout 3, however.
- I had almost no bugs, crashes, or glitches.
- There were enough memorable characters to satisfy me - Boone, Marcus, Raul, Tabitha, Julie Farkas, Mr. House, the doc in Goodsprings, etc - but no one who rose to the levels of original Fallout awesomeness. There was no one I hated as much as I hated First Citizen Lynette. Perhaps I would have hated Caesar, if I had ever spoken to him before killing him.
- The difficulty level is excellent. I wasn't terribly godly even at level 30. I still felt like I was being challenged. Perks, stats, and skills were all well-balanced.[/spoiler:fa5ebc1d1e]
If you've beat the game, feel free to share your ending scenarios! Here's mine:
[spoiler:fa5ebc1d1e]
- After I took over Hoover Dam, the strip falls into anarchy for awhile, and then eventually becomes stable again, but not as prosperous as before.
- The Kings make Freeside the most stable area in New Vegas.
- Goodsprings becomes very prosperous.
- The Brotherhood of Steel takes over Helios One from the NCR and ends up sending out patrols from the area to confiscate technology from traders.
- Novac suffers casualties from Legion forces, and Bright ghouls return to help the town recover.
- The Followers of the Apocalypse suffer from too many refugees, and can barely manage to attend to basic needs.
- The Nightkins of Jacobstown become cured of their Stealthboy addiction, and the town becomes a haven of peace for Super Mutants everywhere.
- Rex is a good dog.
- The NCR (who I made sheriff) abandons Primm (those bastards!)
- Tabitha and Rhonda travel the wasteland, and it becomes the stuff of legend.
- The Boomers continue to hold Nellis.
- Fiends overrun and hold Camp McCarran
That's about all I can remember.[/spoiler:fa5ebc1d1e]
