ok, i was there yesterday. same demo as usual (eyebot, raiders and vats, more raiders, bridge, hacking, robots, enclave comes after you in the end). watched it two times. shows every half an hour, very long queues. you get 1 Fallout branded bottled water and 1 fallout t-shirt at the end of the presentation. i was there w/ my girlfriend so we got four t-shirts and four bottles (propably filled in a nearby toilet?).
i also made pictures but they are mostly the same as the ones that are in the article because taking pictures or filming the demo was strictly forbidden.
the demo:
- Brotherhood of Steel is described as "modern Knights Order, fighting for the Good"... huh?
- much splatter, much bloody mess
- that demo area is designed so badly that it will much likely not appear in the final game (my personal guess)
- concerning shadows: they are hardly visible on screenshots but there are some object shadows (the eyebot made a little dark spot on the ground). lightning looks quite bad, tho. shadows don't look like rendered from a lightsource but like a flat object moving beneath the object that is causing the shadow.
- textures look pretty bad. in the beginning of the demo, most parts of the ground are flat and the debris and junk isn't 3d but part of the texture.
general thoughts: it doesn't feel a bit like fallout, and the graphics are worse than most of the other first person games displayed at LGC.
