On this que, I'd like to note we probably won't be following this game beyond this announcement

I believe that games that go at length to describe the amount of weapons and vehicles ingame, as well as their brand new bump-mapping/mega pixel shading technology, are nothing more than empty husks. This game probably has nothing going on for it other than a few linear "kill em all" missions and will soon fade into oblivion.

Actually it's a student game, they dont have a publisher, or a producer, so this is as far as they've come without any funding what so ever. Nor a marketing team to hype on about all the "cool stuff".

A 6 Month project of 12 guys who did nothing before this in the games industry.

I posted it in the "news submit". Seeing as this is a great place to find everything post apocolyptic, thought you guys might be interested, especially in an indie game.

While I do thank you for the tip and while the game doesn't look bad, for an indie game, it's not within our general spectrum. When I spot PA games or news that fall as wildly outside of our spectrum as a PA shooter or driving shooter, I post on it once so interested parties know of it and then leave it

We're a Fallout site, so while PA falls within our spectrum, it's preferably PA CRPG

Anyway I played it and not very long. Its not good for a Graduate diploma in my humble opinion. The gameplay is like Scorched earth meets interstate 76. I have a feeling auto assault is going to feel like this game tho.

Maybe whenever something cataclismic or apocalyptic occurs people forget how to walk?

It's really nice that this is an indie production and kudos to the students who are making it but this game is totally uninteresting. 10 years ago, maybe...

The concept sounds alot like Ogre.
(I for one do appreciate the one-time mention of new PA games, regardless of genre.)

exactly what i tought... a few years ago i read about this tabletop ogre game, never was able to get even close to acquiring a copy (blah blah brazil blah blah) but i thought it was so freaking cool i still remember most of what i read in a little 2 page magazine article. Anyone played that?

These vehicles are actually much better designed than those in Auto Assault. They appear more realistic.
