No, you have ready to use barbies No modeling/texturing/rigging skills are required.taag said:Isn't new head creation in Poser painless?
Export the head to any "normal" 3d package and render there. You'll get 100 times better results.Lexx said:It needs a shitload of time to find the right light position.
There's a plugin, some sort of "bridge" between Poser and Max, so you can import all Poser's morph data into Max and render animations there. But I don't remember name of plugin and I never tried to use it...Lexx said:Yes, this should be the best, but: I am not that good in stuff like this.
Well, even if someone will do it you'll be able to open the scene only in program that was used to create it. You may try to use FBX plugin to exchange rig/skinning/animation data between Maya/Max/XSI, but there's no such for Blender AFAIK. Also, you may encounter few other problems (like changing existing rig or new setup for the head)... So this isn't easy like may sounds.Lexx said:By the way.. maybe someone should create the animations for a talking head and release them for free use. :> Then you only need to create the new 3D models and textures and render it correctly.
Even if they still exist Beth$oft isn't going to release them...taag said:I believe Bethesda has the original talking heads animations/models. Actually, they probably have everything.
Yes it has 3d engine but I was thinking about a program that would use the rendered images of the 3d objects. As I said I know nothing about programming but I think that writing a program that uses the 3d object would be harder then something that use the renders. Also it just an idea I don't even know if its possible to make it this way.Continuum said:Aren't the Sims powered by 3d engine?
Having 3d engine don't require any rendering into bitmaps.Jotisz said:Yes it has 3d engine
You must have decent rendering engine to create good looking TH's. Even heads made in Poser (commercial program) and rendered there are looking like shit... I really doubt someone will write a simplified version of Max/Maya/XSI/whatever for Fallout that will allow you to import different 3d object, texture coordinates, will do all stuff needed for animation and will render it.Jotisz said:but I was thinking about a program that would use the rendered images of the 3d objects.
