The 7th part of Mad Nation contains that scene we've all been waiting for, director Ethan-Taranto Kent getting beaten up!

Ethan Taranto seems to be made out of rubber. I would like this so much more if it featured excessive blood spurts and smoking bullet wounds.

Originally I was going to go overboard with blood in this movie, but as the movie developed more into a western than a sci-fi movie, I kinda started leaning more toward the less emphasized blood and gore of the spaghetti westerns. Plus overly gory is kind of a cleche in student films that I wanted to avoid. There's a few shots where we over do it in the next couple scenes though.

It would have been cool to do smoking bullet wounds, though. I don't have a particular method for that. I've got an amazing co2 powered blood cannon though: it's great for gunshots, and I suppose you could modify it to work for decapitation/limb removal or something. We only used it once in this one; we use it a bit more extensively in the next episode.
 
After the main character hits this...monk guy, he should have chained him like he did. When he wakes up asks "How do you feel now, punk?" and then beat the crap out of him :P

Eh, I felt like Gray wouldn't have taken any special time with the monk. Granted, what you suggest would be cool, but I felt like Gray would be more concerned with just getting his business done, given he now has to escape from where ever the hell he's being held captive.
