Metro 2033

Uhh, I'm barely cutting the minimum. I guess this sort of sucks. I'm probably not playing this game anytime soon ^___^'

I actually love STALKER series, but you know, not every game has to try to be some sort of RPG-hybrid with stats and inventory. Games'd be boring if that was the case.

So... here comes another First Person Shooter, Post-Apocalyptic, "Role-Playing Game" hybrid to add to the disgusting mesh of Borderlands and Fallout 3 type of games. It's starting to become a trend

Bullshit.

It's announced as a shooter, stop whining.

Also, Borderlands, for all its repetitive gameplay, has nice atmosphere. Don't put it in the same bag as F3 and Metro 2033, it's plainly ridiculous.

^^

Whatever, there's more info:

I'm looking forward to that book, actually.

I hope the system requirements stem from actual graphical quality.
If the game doesn't look great, but requires a lot in terms of hardware, I won't be happy.

I don't have the luxury of being able to buy a new computer, or upgrade the one I have. Recommended requirements are around where my computer is in terms of hardware, I would say bit above actually.

If the game looks like the previews, then it's going to be the best-looking game yet, could probably even beat Crysis.

I don't think the game looks that good...

Well, it ain't god the ridiculous amounts of bloom, but aside from that.

Still, it's tentative. I'm pretty sure the final product won't be as good as previews. That never happens.

Every once in a while a game comes along that prompts me to either upgrade or buy a new PC. If this is good it might be it. I'll obviously wait a few months until it's properly patched, though. Let's hope they make it mod-friendly.

I really like the minimal hud idea.

Crysis really doesn't look that crash hot anymore, especially the foliage. I read a technical interview with the lead tech guy who's running Metro and from what i saw in that it looks absolutely fucking gorgeous.

Which is good, like someone earlier posted, if it doesn't with those requirements ill be pissed. Shattered Horizon is case in point.

There is all this talk about using bullets as currency so I guess there is plenty of item management in there. Also, I read a couple of days ago that there would be multiple endings, which means some non-linearity.

It looks quite interesting but I'll wait for reviews on this one. Even though I liked Stalker, it felt like somewhat unfinished to me so I'm a little wary now.
