MGS4 **Spoilers**

It would be nice if they let the poor man do something else. From the things Kojima has said it sounds a lot like Rising was a forced spin off on Konamis part to ride the cash cow into the ground. Either that or we can all just agree that Kojima is a master troll and speaks in riddles.

Something about both Peace Walker and Rising being MGS5 but Peace Walker being "his" MGS5 and Rising being the "next generation" of Metal Gear Solid.

I am excited for both of them, Peace Walker more so because it has more direct involvement from Kojima and the MGS4 team while Rising is being handled by a new team with Kojima being a "more involved producer".

All I want is for a Subsistence type MGS4 to be released with trophy support. It would be so amazingly easy to do trophies, all it would take is to make the badges you earn in game correspond back to a trophy.

A MGS4 version of Substistence would rock, plain and simple. Seeing as how we got one for MGS2 and MGS3, it wouldn't surprise me if we got one for 4.

I never played ZoE, although I would like to oneday. I also with they'd localize Policenaughts for us as well.

MGS Rising stars Raiden, so I'm on the fence about playing that one.

Weird thing about MGS rising is that the Raiden looking dude on the teaser clearly has brown eyes. Maybe that's not even him?

MGS4 Subsistence is not necessary. They could just provide all the extras via a download. I'd actually prefer it that way so that I don't have to buy the game again. Better yet, make it both a DLC and a standalone CD.

ZoE was an ok game. Not bad but definitely not worth getting all excited over. Never played Policenauts but it seems similar to the Snatcher and that was a pretty decent game for its time. I'd rather have a Snatcher 2 than a ZoE sequel.

You guys do know that he is making an MGS5 right?

I think a lot of people are. Especially after he specifically said he would be taking much more of a backseat role on Rising than he has any other MGS game. He is not directing, just producing but with a more hands on approach than most producers do.

Peace Walker on the other hand is what the MGS4 team is focused on, which the man described himself as a "true sequel to the MGS franchise" and "not a spin off or side story".
The E3 trailer for Peace Walker backs up such statements.

I am still interesting in Rising, just not hyped for it like I am Peace Walker, mainly because I am not sure what I am getting. As far as I am concerned at this point the MGS series ended with 4. Peace Walker is just going to tie up the back story about the rise of Outer Heaven.

I find it pretty amazing that a whole series of games would be made out of what was originally a remake of the two MSX games, and even then they're all just fanservice/parody of said remake. Fanservice on fanservice on fanservice... MGS must be the most indulgent videogame series ever.

Yep, and he makes alot more money for being a "Fan Service".

OMG, a company that gives their consumers products they want?! What lunacy!

My problem with Peace Walker is that (if I'm not mistaken) it's on the PSP, which sucks, as I'm not spending 200$ on a handheld for one game :(.

Yeah it is on the PSP. I do not have one either yet and I must admit I am a bit disgruntled I am going to have to buy one just to experience Kojimas "true sequal" to the series.

To add insult to injury the PSP Go! is going to have a price launch point of $250. I mean really, what the fuck Sony? It makes me hard to defend you when you do stupid shit like that. Not many people want or can afford to pay for such a high priced item that is just a redesign with a smaller screen and flash drive instead of UMD.

More than likely I will just be buying the 3000 model. Once the Go! hits I am sure they will drop in price quite a bit, especially used. The only way I would drop the money on the PSP Go! is if this digital distribution thing they are cooking up really takes off and is the next "big thing" (not likely I know) or if the battery life or something along those lines is much more improved over the current models.

It would be awesome if Kojima revitalized Snatcher. I'd be happy if Konami would just re-release the game as is, but even happier if Kojima made a remake of it. Ahh... Snatcher...

But I think Kojima will be making MGS games for the rest of his life (whether he wants to or not  ).

Btw, did anyone else laugh at the intro where he says "War... has changed..."
