Well I've fiddled around with the site for quite some time now and made some improvements and probably some problems also :P

Either way, I wanted to introduce you to our new Articles/Features page, hopefully you'll read some of them (the screenshots in some of the articles don't work yet). Enjoy

Update: I've moved the "navbar" to the left, for those of you who have 800x600 in resolution (I would urge you to change to 1024*768, since our design is based on that).

Question: I heard that former Black Isle team members would be working at SSE...
Answer: Again, rumors. Carsten said he would like for them to have some kind of relationship with the former Black Isle team members, but that is all he has said. At this point, all we know is that they are talking. Until Carsten or anyone else at SSE says more, we have to assume that nothing will come from this. The former BIS devs confirmed to be talking to SSE at the moment are Damien "Puuk" Folletto and J.E. Sawyer

Ooh..very cool! But it'l take some time for me to get used to the left-hand navbar...I'm a righty, so having stuff like that on the right side always falls more naturally for me. (So sue me).

The main reason for moving it, is because our design is based on 1024*768, yet there still are some people that have 800*600 (go figure) and thus they have to scroll to see the navbar (KraziKatt tip, love ya babe!)..

Other than that I'm constantly working on the site, improving scripts etc.. Had I gotten some help with the graphics, then I would have easilly been able to change the look/design also..

I have a pretty massive screen, as screens go, and I was on 800*600.

Things are soooooo damn small in 1024*768

I feel like a giant
 
Hehe, a few months back I always had my screen resolution set to 1600x1200. I changed to 1024x768 when I heard it wasn't very healthy for the monitor to be pushed to the limit all the time. :-P

Shame on you !! I've got a 21" LCD screen at have it at 1024x768, this is because I've also hooked it up to my TV (ie dual screen). Had I not used the dual screen then I would have used much higher resolution..
 
Well the ad works on IE, erm..well usually it does.. but I've noticed that it sometimes doesn't...so..err...yeah.. :look:
 
It hasn't worked for me, I use IE. I think it stopped working when the site "crashed" due to too many users trying to access.

Well I don't know if it actually crashed, but I couldn't get access for a few hours.

Site looks as great as it ever has. Really I don't care if the ads work or not, so long as it keeps bringing in revenue for you.
 
teh ad takes the whole screen, i have to try and look at my screen at an angle to see past it. OMG TEH FUNNEY IS ME
 
Looks nice, although I must agree that I preferred the right side navigation. Site looks very good and readable on 1280*1024.

As for the ads, download mozilla firebird. NOW. You won't regret it.
I've been a hardcorde IE fan (not M$ - but their browser was way better than NS - and I never enjoyed opera) for years, but the new version of firebird just IE away. And it has the built-in capability for surpressing popups & banners (using Adblock).

Plus for the devs, it has a lot of neat features, as it is actually a platform (using XUL, if you like).
