A few smaller and bigger mod updates. First of, Mutants Rising and Dude101 bring us the Van Buren Dreams FRM Pack, containing Van Buren inventory art converted to Fallout 2 FRMs (see here).

Bewitched dropped us a note to point out a project on Fallout Archives called Nuclear Winter, made by CLERIC. This WIP replaces ground textures with snows (for some reason) and is being expanded upon to include "other cool stuff in this vein".

Finally, Shadowbeast dropped by with Babelfish'd English to point us to his project, Day of Blood, and offer a demo.
What is Day of Blood?

It is HUGE ADD-ON for Fallout 2. You will take part in alternative history of the Second World War, will do some shooting on толстопузым to Germans, will see a mix of urbanistic ruins with frying desert, will participate in a quest, do a bit of travelling on the Armored troop-carrier and Prototype Frenka Forrigona. And then will do some shooting in it from a gun!
Sounds...uh...weird I guess.

When asphalt crumbles, there's snow underneath! Good idea for achieving an effect with the minimum amount of work, but it does look a bit odd.

incidentally, I have been building a case for a Van Buren TC (here)...

OH DEAR  :aiee:

Didn't know there was that much stuff ready for take-off. It'd be an interesting project, surely, but first some of the big mods like Mutants Rising need to take off.

Yeah, no one in MR could possibly commit them selves to this until we finish... so if anyone wants to join our team to speed up the process: that would be helpful.

Shouldn't the asphalt be turned into snow instead of the ground underneath?
Whatever, good work and keep it up and all that. Can't wait for Mutants Rising.

Yeah, this news is full of oddnesses (excluding the endless VB gravediggin'*), but still good that Fallout modding has a certain publicity though.

* Speaking of which, Sirren is actually really progressing with the Gehenna critter.

I hope all goes well, any new decent/good content is always great to have, espically something like this. Although the snow thing (as stated before) is quite odd.

Really good news is it just me or its real that the modding processes speeding up nowadays I mean more and more cool modding stuff apear in the news.

the only experiece i have with programming is limited C# from dealing with runuo, so i would not be able to provide much help :(

Yes, I thought the same, but the FIFE wallpaper was a fake. :)
