Mods you already want for NV?

Based on existing mods: Darnified UI, Project Beauty, HairPack, IronSights, CASM

I will probably spend the time to port some of these myself if required before playing. Really just the bare minimum to play as from experience these can just suck vast amounts time better spent playing the game.
 
I'm all for some improved realism mods.

That is to say: I want characters to actually be able to remove their clothes, and I want all children the way God intended them after an apocalypse. Dead.
 
Why ironsights? New Vegas's guns already have them, or do you mean weapons mods from fallout 3 that you want to port? Also I really want a mod that turns off the exploding cars.
 
I actually meant ironsights itself. Good to know they built it in. That one probably would not port easily if obsidian created their own animations. Also recently saw they basically built in FWE as hardcore mode which is great.

I'm trying hard to keep my head in the sand as much as possible so the game is a fresh experience. I dont need specific weapon mods until playing through once or twice. If the heads aren't fugly then I can live without the beautification as well. I really just want small fonts, minimum UI and as much realism for the first playthough as possible. CASM just because it worked and was painless and saved me a lot of replay due to crashes on recent playthroughs.
 
Darnified UI is the biggest thing I would feel lacking, at least from day one, been watching some of the leaked xbox player's streams, and the UI & Pipboy interface is just soo primitive and hugely oversized, im sure its good on console, but on the PC, I would like a interface that looks higher-res than 800x600
 
Shame the dude who did that doesen't mod F3 anymore, maybe he'll come back for Vegas as the pipboy pda mod is great if only because it removes it from your arm.
 
True, Alphadrop - How Doc even managed to rip a pipboy off another vault fellow is one thing... Would have loved to see a different kind of ui/interface option, its just given in the start, no explaining, no reason "here, you might need this..."

Well, isn't that what the End of Days is all about? Like the book of Revelation says: "And lo, shall all the children fall dead before me, their Lord, and all their clothes shall be removed by the modding community."

I get the feeling that obsidian had nude mods in mind when they designed the strip, think about the women in the default underwear, for instance the ones dancing in the fountain once a player installs a model replacer they'll be naked dancing women. In fact judging by one of dev's commits in an interview I think some of them already use those mods in there personal copies.

Which interview?
 
It's one of the writen ones, it was about the strip, the dev said something like "they'll be alot of crazy stuff going on the strip." and then when the interviewer asks for more detail he says "well naked women waking around..." there was more, it might be the one where they first talked about the hookers on the strip. And as far as other mods I want go, once I get sick the music in the game, I'm going start using one of the custum radio stations mods, in fallout 3 I've gotten so use to AC/DC and ZZ Top as my in game music it'll be hard to go with out it. Faceless_Stranger, judging by the picture you use as your avatar on this forum I think can appreciate "velcro fly" playing while have a fire fight in a shaterd city.

I guess so. But some of those hookers were nearly naked. Even w/o naked mods, they still don't leave much to the imagination.
