If you're desperate, here's how to get some sure but slow $$$:

Go to recruits master. Get someone from the list, have them drop their armor, then put them back in. Repeat until you have big pile of armor. Then sell armor. Voila.
 
what i did is took jo, my driver, put all her stuff in the hummer, then traded her in for babs the ghoul who has a 95 steal skill. i then stole hords of shit off the quatermaster's assistant and the medical officer's assistant including a fat 9000 bucks. then i put all the loot in the hummer and traded babs to get jo back. then i got me some power armor..heheh
 
HUH ?

what do you mean quarter master's assistant or medical officer's assistant ? they're always standing there alone..
 
Just bring up the inventory while your char is in the hummer.
