RPGCodex posted another concept art image from Van Buren/Fallout 3, here's the entrance to the reservation (according to a source of mine):

Looks familiar.

-sigh-

Oh the fun we could have had...

Don't suppose anyone has thought of taking the FO3 storyline (or at least what we know of it) and doing it in the FO:T or FO engine?

Gorgeous concept art. I want to jump right into the scene and walk through that truck chassis.

Unless Bethesda's Fallout 3 will have the same story (maybe it will, I haven't really been looking into this lately) as Van Buren was supposed to have, this could be very interesting.

Although it would be cooler if they made it with the Silent Storm engine, which, unlike the actual game, rules.

I would, if I had time and skills.

Umm... didn't Feargus buy all the pictures, concept art and all other things from Interplay? Bethesda only bought the franchize, so they will have to do their own story, own concepts, own engine.

So no hope its all lost and well have to play beshedas fallout :?:
Do you think that it will look like fallout at all :?: I just cant help myself imagine crap like swords bows and on the 20 lvl the character discovers (if his intelligent is high enough) that he can cast spells :? milk blast :)

Sorry, this is going to sound stupid but... is this junktown supposed to be the same junktown from fallout 1? Or are they just two towns that the makers happened to both call the same thing?

Bethesda is not going to use this storyline. As far as I know they don't even have access to the original design doc, and even if they do they're still game makers. How much fun do you think it would be to work at a game you have total freedom in with someone else's design doc?

They'll make their own Fallout, of this I have little doubt

Feargus owns all BIS textures, which makes me wonder a bit, because I think he technically owns the earlier posted textures (the Power Armour etc.) too. Ah well

Well, it's not set in stone.

GS: Will it have the same storyline as the Black Isle Studios’ Fallout 3?

TH: Unknown right now. I doubt it though.
GS being Gamespot, and TH being Todd Howard

You're referring to the time when Bethesda answered every single question with "Unknown right now". It's not secret they had a bot running on one of their computers that replied to every email with "We're in pre-poduction stage, we can't answer those questions yet"

Sure it's not impossible, but how unlikely (and undesireable) is it?

I only know 13 locations of VB, and there wasn`t a junktown on the list, so i suppose that`s a name for an atmosphere, it gives graphical cues to the artists and designers while doing their work. I might be wrong though, if anyone knows diferently please step up.

I'm thinking in the Fallout world there were a lot of JunkTowns, but who knows, it could be.

Junk town had the best 'feel' to it of any FO1/FO2 town. It just seemed to really fit the whole PA theme.

Now if only Odin's source would send him the FO2 source code for his next birthday :)
