The crafty critters over at Mutants Rising have posted their monthly press release, here's what they said:<blockquote>Yes, it's that time of the month ghouls and mutants!

A lot has happened during the last month - let´s get into the details.
  • First of all, we´re sorry to disappoint by cancelling the release of Mutants Rising demo.
    It will be released when it´s done - no more details this time around.
  • From now on, we´re known as Nuclear Winter Studios(or NWS for short).

  • A lot of talented people have applied to work with us - We are to grow in numbers.
  • SNorth has gone through Another keyboard while cranking out dialog!
  • Talented sound actors and music composers have opened up a whole new side to our mod.

That doesnt sound to enthustiastic Odin.
Were posponing it to improve it, if we relesed a crappy demo everyone would have an opinion. This way we wont, hopefully.
 
When is the MR dialouge editor tool gona be released ?

Some of the dialouge pple from the Fanout mod are looking foward to that one.
 
Itll be out soon, were using it for our dialoges. alltho if you slip me some *wink* you might get it fatser *wink* *wink*.
 
Meh, howbout if I get the Fanout pple to promise to not share it outside of the mod til y'all release it ?

I asked Trolle about this, and he said we can´t release it yet since it´s not finished.. so you gotta hang in there a little longer, sorry
 
Meh, it's ok.

From what I know were not quiteto the point it's nessacary yet, though the first draft of the design doc forthe first town is done.


Now Im going thru it, thinking of added quests for a ratbastard characther to do.l
 
But more importently did you like the new critter in the screen shot, one of my cooler 'creations' (err make that 'borrowed' from FOT). But I did come up with the idea of calling it the Rad Roach ;)

Here's another screen shot, though this is an old one from 3 versions ago. seeing as its the same area I dont think its matters if I 'leak' this one. I think Trolle has added the labels now, though I cant remeber sorry

Do you Nuclear winter studios people know how long it will take (ca.) before the MR demo will be released. I'm looking forward too it! :)

I thought the update did pretty much say "No new ETAs for the time being, wait and see"?
 
Melchoir - can´t give you any estimates, other than that it will be coming before the full release :) it simply needs more polishing . .

We failed to estimate the time frame we needed to finish it - we don´t want to do the same mistake again..

Nice to see that MR is coming along nicley, shows a TC mod can work.

Which is good news for Fanout (especily since we'll be able to learn from y'alls mistakes :P )

Are y'all going to make a TC mod tutorial along with MR ?

It'd be an exellent resource for future mods.
 
Dunno about making a doc for future modders, but hey, us members are walking tutorials :P most if not all of us are ready to help out

Don't be ashamed. I made the mistake and set an ETA for a game I was working on all alone to 1 year. BIG mistake. Especially for an RPG.
