Bewitched
aka Vault_13
Sorry to bother you guys, but currently I need all the help I can get. As some of you might know, I'm the creator and owner of one the oldest Russian fallout fan sites - Fallout Encyclopaedia (it had a birthday recently - it's 9 years old now). We took a serious part during the Wasteland 2 Kickstarter campaign providing a Russian community all the support in terms of pledging to project. We have even collected 1000$ to support the game and there should be a location named after Fallout Archives.
On the 18th of march fallout-archives.com domain name and all the pages from the web site itself including my forum board and its one month old database has been stolen from me.
Someone has hacked my email and requested a transfer of the domain to another place. This request has been satisfied by the registrar and it was moved to internet.bs and then to webnames.ru. Thief has provided registrar with fake passport scans that supposed to be mine, but it turned out to be that photo, numbers and signature didn't matched with my passport.
The domain has a new owner who claims that he legally bought it from somebody else. This guy refuses to disclose any info on the seller telling me that he is not interested in returning domain.
Actually, I believe that he might be the one who has stolen my website after all (his info can be easily found using any whois service on the web). Currently I'm talking to the registrar (the old one and the new one) to solve this problem, but there haven't been any real progress lately.
I've already contacted local authorities to help me, but I don't know if they will do anything useful.
Despite that domain is registered to Russian registrar now, all the stolen pages are stored using GoDaddy.com, which is a famous American hosting provider. I've already contacted them on this matter and they want from me a prove that I;m the original owner of the website. That would be pretty easy if my domain name was still in my possession, but it was stolen and I had to register an alternative domain name to keep the website running (fallout-archives.org).
Some of the fellow Russian Falllout fan sites has already reposted these terrible news including www.fallout.ru (the oldest Russian Fallout community) and wasteland.riotpixels.com.
Any help would be appreciated.
