My Fallout Wallpaper!

First time out of the vault
Hello No Mutants Allowed!

I searched the vast seas of the internet for a decent Fallout wallpaper and was greatly disappointed with the results. So I decided to create one. The look was meant to be simple, nothing too flashy, but to also capture the feeling of the amazing Fallout series.

EDIT: I see why the text would be annoying. I made it even more simple, nothing flashy, but that's how I like it ;)

I think it's bland. Other than that bright-yellow distracting text it's a little boring. Check out some of stuff in this thread for a nice fallouty desktop.

[edit] Wow quietfanatic, you beat me to the "submit" button :D except your link is broken.

it could seriously work as a start up screen for windows, but I don't think it makes my wallpaper. It is nice as a simplistic design and depending on preferences I guess it could work pretty well

but...

the symbol feels a bit out of place and "too much" compared to the simplicity in contrast of the rest. It's almost glowing and screams for attention when what I really want to see is the man in this case. It feels as if you placed it there because you designed it and are really satisfied and want it to be visible/noticeable. But truth to be told, "kill your darlings" if they aren't really bringing anything to the bigger picture.

Other than that I think it is quite ok. Keep going!

Thanks everyone for commenting!

Well, my intent was actually to make it really simple and organized. The placement probably had something to do with all of my icons being on the left and top of my desktop =P.

I edited it a little, taking out the bright yellow text and the atomic-icon. It's still simple.

I suppose duplication may be excessive when it isn't explicitly wallpaper, even if some might like to see it in wallpapers in files.
