My issues with 'modern' fallout players...

It's irrelevant if they are in since last month or since 1997, even if the latter knows best most of the time.
The way I see it, if someone truly is a fan of a franchise, then they will be able to enjoy it in it's truest form.

If someone only likes the First Person Fallout's, I don't see them as Fallout Fans, so much as First Person Fallout Fans.

Well let's just call them lower class fans or some classist stuff :P
I think Fallout 3 (Not ES/Random people) fans can too if they know and recognize the originals.
And FNV fans usually make Fo1/2 a likely stop anyway

I'm sorry but I mean thats who it kinda is ? I mean you probably would't say yeah there was this cool quest I did or anything would you. I mean that is literally the talking point of fo4 really ......

The split can largely be attributed to console versus pc gamers. Sure the modding is a big part of it but comparatively it is a small part of the base due to the lack of mods (kinda) or good ones anyway.

So you have gamers who got started with a FPS who hate isometric/cavalier oblique (pedantic mode activate)...

This is rather obvious when you have fans who are attracted more to Fallout 3 as opposed to New Vegas. Essentially the fanbase is fragmented from various spinoffs and bastardized sequels.

Let me be honest; i've seen games from 1992 better gameplay than Fallout 1. But storytelling and atmosphere? No.
I saw.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words but I don't think mouth foaming is a kind of word.

Why do you folks care so much about what other people are doing or thinking? Yeah, people are retards, that's big news. Still, there's no need to go down to their level with such threads. As a matter of fact, back in the days, we'd lock threads like this, because they smell an awful lot like cross-site trolling. Also it's really not worth it to get all rilled up about the "modern" Fallout player (whatever that actually is).

I'm using my mighty moderator powers to close this thread. If anyone feels like there's a valid reason to keep it open, then send me a private message or whatever. It's probably for the best to keep it locked, though.
