My new passion: Airsofting

HEY! i saw you other post and wondered if you did play airsoft or not.

I currently do play airsoft ive been playing for over a year now and i started a different way but its too long to explain. I wanted to congratulate you on your enthusiasm therefore its a GREAT SPORT.

If anyone has any questions or ANYTHING ON AIRSOFT i am more that likly to help. Right onw i live in houston texas and play with a team. I also do work on these guns because they are quite complicated. So if your gun stops working or fails be sure to im me or email me.

Also for the paintballers your thing is your thing but please dont dis/insult my sport. I love airsoft and believe you me these things CAN AND WILL HURT!!!! And for the other guy who said if its there is no blood its boring.....trust me STOCK guns come at about 270-290 fps (feet per second) DEPENDING on the gun. but these guns can EXCEED OF OVER 600 FPS now trust me on this!!! THAT WILL SURE AS HELL MAKE YOU BLEED!!!!

Yet ive been almost shot by a sniper rifle that was 600 fps a guy on our team made a custom Steyr Scout (of course you avid CS players know what im talking about) He made the exact replica but that guy kinda got out of airsoft to go into real guns so that gun is long gone.

So once again my name is wes and im signing out. If you have any questions again feel free to im me or email them to me! ill be sure to post back here.

SEE YA!

Yeah, I play airsoft at a paintball field that features airsoft games once a week. I've never gone to one of those big events like Southern Comfort in Florida or anything like that but I hope to travel abroad for some games soon.

Currently, I'm trying to sell my AUG. I don't know, I'm very picky with what I'm using and the AUG didn't suit my needs. So I've already got a Classic Army M15A4 on order but I'd like to sell the AUG anyways.

yea ive been in the buisess for a while of just buying, trading, selling. But currently i only own one gun because i sold all my others and got round $900 but then my computer shitted out on me and i need to pay fines for my school books and just ive been buying lil crap on ebay so ive got about $200 right now. $150 of that is still towards books.

Oh well come december im going to get a m249 and deck that out because im going to finally get my car back then and ill get another job so immma rake in the dough then. ill keep you updated n stuff by then.

KEEP IN TOUCH! its awesome to have a fallout player and a airsoft player present :P

oh also you dont have to goto ops (operations) like SC or SC 2 in florida, im pretty sure you can find a lot in or near your state. I have them quite frequently in texas. And as the time passes we are getting into the "FTX" field training excesize (SP?) oh well anyways its an over night game and limited bbs are used and its just very specific and detailed. GOING TO BE FUN AS HELL TOO! :P

well im out ,see ya,

Well, this airsofting is becoming a hideous monkey on my back. I really regret buying my AUG right off the bat. I had done research on the gun and figured that it would be excellent performance-wise (which it is!). But I've got qualms about it. First off, I use a full-face paintball mask and the scope of the AUG is set so short that my mask gets in the way of the cheekrest. What does that mean? It means that the scope is too low to use while wearing a mask. Well damn. Blade sights are okay but that really sucks when I paid for a gun with scope and can't even use it. Secondly, it's heavy. I'm not a weak guy, even though I'm a computer gamer. It's alot more back heavy than other guns I've played with (the M4, hell, the MP5 is like a dramatic difference). The thing about the other guns, such as the M4 and MP5, is that the weight is evenly distributed throughout the gun. Not in the AUG's case; it's weight is centered towards the back. And, unfortunately, that's close to where you're holding the gun. So what does that mean? It's putting a major strain on one of your hands.

Fortunately, I sold away this gun for $300. Unfortunately, I had bought to the gun and accessories for it for $400. With a little more cash, I'm conflicted onto what gun I'm going to buy next.

Lesson learned, folks: Research your gun before you buy it.

I dont buy many guns, but if I ever should. I'll keep your advice in mind.

naw man dont let that discourage you! $400 might have been a bit steep but then agian i forget what you said it came with. but you SHOULD have gotten the civilian version with just the scope mount and no scope then you could have put your own on. Even coud have put a riser mount on it to make it higher if you wanted. But trust me AUG's are VERY NICE guns. People LOVE them because you can disassemble it SO fast. Yet then again there are some down sides ad the mechbox being in the back so the cheeckrest will give the winding noise when you shoot right by your ear.

Well once agin if u got n e q's i got the a's.
