Well here is how I see the future of fallout gaming, The base concept is perfect, a post-apoclyptic world... and alot of adventure to boot it =)
But here is my question.. Why do we have to keep going forward in time with fallout? Ever heard of prequels? Heh.. I'd like to see a fallout-3 (for names-sake) where you start out and your John Q nobody, living in anytown USA. And you go about your daily life (in a butifully 16bit color city...with that quasi-50's arcitecture and items..) and there is foreshadowing of impending nuclear war, and boom the siren goes.. You haul your ass underground into a basement -DEV TEAM FILLS IN PLOT HOLE HERE- You emmerge, the world is freaky looking, the sky is strange there is still a considerable ammount of background radiation, but because of your area... your not to bad off. And from here, there is a non-linear plot. You can be an anarchist dumbo, a thief, a virteous leader, a survivor.. You name it, you acquire the tools for survival and there are tons of quest, as well as the problems of feeding your self, and a possible family or community. But anyways, I just would like something along those lines... Or just a game filling in the gap between 2 and 3! Rather than us finding holodisks in fallout 3 and learning it vicariously through good 'ole pip boy =)
