I downloaded the 1.27 patch with the editor, but it only came with the map editor(campaign/entity/level), I downloaded a bunch of Sprite Editors like "Spray" and the others off of FREELANCER, but they won't view Actor/Turrets/Vehicle etc.. So, I need a GOOD Sprite "EDITOR" and any other thing that I might want to have, I plan on making some MODS/CAMPAIGNS.. So help me out here.

But even with a very good editor, modifying these complex sprites is beyond the scope of anyone unless they had the original 3d models used by Microforte and the 3d modeling tools. Trust me on this. There are alot of unknowns that even the best of us have to deal with in the creation of sprites such as multiple layers, shadows, alpha channels. If you think you have the knowledge to work with some of these things, for gods sakes let us know!! So far the best mod programmers like Red and Domin don't have a good handle on this.

There is plenty available to make a good mod without having to mess with the vehicles and characters. If you need help or direction, come over to the DAC mapping forums and we'll get you up to speed. If you haven't already, download the Redviewer. Red is still updating it almost weekly with more adavnced features including tile editing capabilities.

Here is the address for the DAC forum:

Also if you need them I have tutorials galore for doing all sorts of things with Spray. Just make sure you have a copy of the full version of Photoshop.

Hey, I resent that.

I have a very good handle on all mentioned things, however I'm too lazy to do 2 things:

- Impliment PNG loading to support alpha in the current Viewer
- Impliment my own dithering algorithm
