Negitive Karma. What if...

It Wandered In From the Wastes
I was a bit disappointed in Fallout2 because the game blantently relies on the fact that fallout1 was beaten by a good character. I always wondered how FAllout2 would be different if it was based on Fallout1 beaten by an evil character.

How would the fallout world be different if the Vault Dweller had allowed himself to be FEV'ed and agreed to attack V13? Would this have made an interesting backdrop for a story?

Anyway, I have given it some thoughs and have some opinions, I was just wondering what other community members thought.

It is an interesting thought, but the trouble is the world would be *too* different. The mutants would prolly have ripped through the BOS, not to mention Shady Sands. They might be at war with the Enclave.

And where would your player start? No village, y'know

I don't think the Mutants would have ripped through the BOS. I think it would have been a pretty even fight. The BOS follows them to V13 and ambushes them as they come out. Both sides take heavy loses.

For the sake of this arguement, lets say "There is no Enclave". I don't think it fit the fallout universe at all and, therefore, I'd leave it out of my crazy "what if's".

You think the BOS stood a chance against the SMs?

Maybe. Depends on whether or not they were informed about the Mutant's presence. If not, how would they know to wait them out at V13? How would they even know the Vault existed.

Remember, the super mutants were planning to attack the BoS base. If they had caught them by surprise, they'd have run them over, by advantage of sheer numbers (and some good weaponry)

That's assuming that the Bunker in FO1 is the only BoS base. Unless im mistaking the BoS are the remenats of the military and as such more bunkers would likely exist. My guess is that the BoS and the Mutant army would clash together and all hell would break loose destroying much of the re-built "civilization".

My understanding was that the BOS Bunker was built by people from The Glow. Using that idea there would only be one bunker.

Almost. BOS ancestors fled Military Base, and some if not all of them were transfered there from The Glow. So yeah, only one bunker.

"No village" is no argument. After all, you can kill Tandi in FO1 and she'd still be a president in FO2.
