?New? but empty secret cave in broken hils mine

I dont know who's seen this before or if theres anything important there (I didnt find anything, it seemed empty) but in the uranium mine by the air filtration pump, theres a section of the wall you can walk through. Its to the left of the pump on the way to it and it runs SW to NE. look a little amd you'll find it.

Who's found it before, and whats the deal? Was it supposed to be a hidden place ? They did go to the effore to add it hidden but it was left empty.

Yep , it`s like you said, but you can talk to him briefly, anyway i can`t remember what sub quest you would resolve by meeting him, maybe in Per`s guide?

There is another cave nearer the pump the enterance is hidden by a rockfall, it's empty and I think it's just a pocket of fresh air but I can't really remember now. Did you take any damage while in the cave?

You get 1000 xp for discovering the secret area with the guy. He awakes when you move next to him and when you ask him his name (isn't it something like 'Buck Rodgers'?) you get another 500 xp. If you choose the other dialogue line, he just runs away. Anyway, there's a footlocker in there too and in it is some Uranium Ore which you can get refined in the refinery (kinda logic, huh). It'll cost you (1000) but you'll earn another 500 xp. After 24 hours you can sell the refined ore to the ghoul who refined it for 1500 and 300 xp, or give it to him for 1000, 1250 xp and a little bit of karma. And hey: here's a famous money bug! If you sell the ore for 1500, you can talk to the ghoul over and over again, getting richer with each click of the mouse.

I never got to try this out, but can you sell the refined ore to Gecko?


I think the sleeping guy is a pop culture reference to either Lost in Space or some other Sci Fi show. Its been so long since I read on it.

No you can sell the ore in Broken Hills to the ghouls there. I don't think you can sell to anyone else.
