Our old friend Sethergal let us know of a minor update to the New Dawn website.<blockquote>Although we are working hard we don't forget about you, our visitors. Starting today you can subscribe to our newsletter. Newsletter will guarantee you don't miss any important information about the game.

As you may have noticed, we reorganized the board. Along with fresh looks there come ranges and permission to start new threads. There's also a new feature, we call pin board, where you can find the New Dawn related media coverage links. The best ones will be presented on our main homepage, too.

Now, we have something more to show you from the game itself. Check out two new portraits of NPC's.</blockquote>Presumably this and this are the new portraits.

I love how the area around the hip has chain mail, and yet the rest of the armor is completely exposed, and utterly ineffective.

What's to keep an easy arrow or slice from opening up her abdomen?

All of that style is going to vanish once her entrails are hanging out from a simple slice to the chest.

Or, we could go even as far to mention the thighs. Wouldn't that be absolutely attractive to see one of her legs hacked cleaned off..

Then there's also the arms...

Excellent :clap: . I'd still take miss hulk in cow boy outfit over resident evil mutants anyday though.
Concerning SF2, they had started using chainmail bikinis with Spellforce 1, so the sequel remains true to its predecessor.
They should have preserved some other areas of the original title IMO.
Chainmail bikinis are made possible in any universe in which HP increase massively with levels (another funny part is that the elf equipment cannot be changed in the game).

Geeez, that's fucking pathetic. I really despise RPG games that to make women warriors into fetishes for horny teenagers. If I wanted to masturbate, I would buy porn, not a roleplaying game.

On the other I don't mind women showing off in games, if they have a good reason to show off and if it's placed in in proper cultural context.
But being sexually molested by a sight of an elven whore every time I load game or by sight of half-naked warrior strippers is really annoying.
 
That's why I always give credit to NWN2, not a single piece of female armour that exposed flesh for titilation purposes. One of the few things Oblivion did correctly too (Shivering Isles doesn't count, man, they're not human).
NWN1 had a few infamous female armours but you should see some of the male armours in that game. So yes, exploitative. But an equal opportunity exploiter!

And then there's Vampire: Bloodlines. The sluts dress like sluts. The ones who aren't.. don't. And I always loved my female Toreador's grey coat outfit... but I digress.
