This is were I totally disagree with you modders, why bother adding new weapons is you're not going to make them fallouty?

Also what's the need for such a huge amount of guns anyways? I would actually tone the numbers instead of just adding lots of guns.

Well for one thing, where is the line between what is fallouty and what is not? That's a debate that never ends. Having new weapons gives the player lots of new things to try. If I was working on a new story game, I'd have a more trimmed set of weapons.

What we need is more books, usable items, and other items. I also think the modification of poison effects (making them actually dangerous) on player, and addition of poison and rad counters for critters would be good. Diseases would be interesting too.
 
err well thats probably my fault odin. I got borred one night and converted all the FOT gun sprites into Fallout 2 FRM files and then sent them to dude_obj :)

That being said I like the weapons how they are in fallout and only see the need for a few extra ones that do something new.

But in the context of this mod its probably not a real problem as the monsters are all twice as hard and you need a high calabar gun to kill them. I get the impression that dude_obj and Corpse and desgining a mod that adds a lot of reply value and increases difficulty to experienced players

I just looked through your hand to hand weapons and it looks like MR werent the only ones to think of kick enhancers. These really make a melee character more fessable :twisted:

Big creatures and lot of weaponary to kill them, it seem like large battlefield on this mod. Want you some bunkers there? I can lend b21 or b23 fortress.

Well it's a given actually, all weapons from 1960-2005 should be banned as they don't fit in with the 1950ies post apocalyptic future that Fallouts settings is in.

Another thing I like is the generic name for a gun rather then it's actual real name, which is also a fallouty thing.

The behemoth and pacification bots are done and working but were left out for now because of their size. Behemoth alone is 55MB! Will add them later, didn't wan't to say here download this 300MB of stuff just to try this mod.

Well FO2 was already severely tainted with stuff like the bridgekeeper's robe armor, HKG11, and many other things. What I was really trying to do is gain replayability by removing these kinds of thought trains:

I know that there is plenty of 2mm ammo in enclave, so I won't bother stocking up. I know that the raiders have shorter range weapons so I'll just pick them off with a sniper rifle. I know that the nightkins will have a laser rifle in the broken hills caravan, so I'll do that to get the firepower I need to fight muties in the military base. I know that this locker over here has what I need, so I'll go and grab it before I head over to do this quest. It gets so bad that you know what weapons gangers will have as soon a random encounters start (example p90c).

The combination of random loot, random store inventories, random weilded weapons on critters, new and tougher critters, and lots of weaponry makes it fun to play the game again. Also, my thinking was: if qwerty wants a goo gun, and if corpse wants a G3, let them play, that's what modding is about. I'm sure some people will enjoy the new stuff in the game.

We also knew that no matter what we do people will complain, so that's why I said up front, we don't care.
 
Hm... I see a huuuge killer robot... Three types of AK-rifles... A DPM... A gauss-gatling gun (:shock:)... A grenade launcher... A tiger claw? How ninja is that :D!? I'm looking forward to this mayhem of weapons you never get to use... Don't drop out! Keep modding. This looks very cool indeed :).

An SA80!!! (Standered British Infantry rifle, dont know how common it is in the US though.)

Also would it be possible to recolour the human models, I want this added because all the people in Fallout seem to wear green... I want some BLUE!!!..

Having a lot of types of guns isn't bad in itself, it's having lot's of guns period that's bad. If you're going to have a lot of gun types then the majority of them should be uniques. So instead of having 20 9mm Glocks, you'd have one Glock one S & W one Browning etc
 
It Doesnt really matter as even playing normal fallout I only use a very small number of weapons in the whole game. Maybe 5 or 6 total :)

On the up side the bad guys will come at you with everything but the kitchen sink. Which means the player will need to adapt his play style slightly to each battle.

I didnt model them so I cant really answer that sorry :(

The small images are the two low tech versions that would be the equivilent to the 'brass knuckles' and the 'spiked knuckles'
We havent made the powered version yet.
