Where'd That 6th Toe Come From?
Heya folks

As Welsh said, we are about to have a new thread here in the roleplaying area.

This new thread will be open to newcoming players and to those who already play here.

Now here are some of the possibilities. I will keep this voting open for three days (That means in wednesday the new thread will start, based upon what is voted here).

So vote on :D and get your character sheet ready to play :D

Hmm, Im stuck between opening of the Vault and the non US one.

If it's a non-US one, Id suggest having some of the non US pple run it, and have the OCC thread be heavily used to educate the americans in that country for the benifit of the RP.

Opening the Vault is always fun, but needs multiple serious players to work out.

Eh, dont worry, I am non US and of course the OOC will be used a lot to any comment doubts etc.

Opening of the vault could be outside US too (combo of the two ideas)
 
Well you mentioned places that are US :) Oh well, its not off the table. But lets hear what the others have to say.
 
True. I just think of US places usualy, since that's where Im from.

Suggest a few places in your country prehaps ? (I'd suggest my hometown, but since It's had an airforce base since WW2, and the AU aspect of FO history starts after WW2, it's obvious my hometown is glassed over rock on FO)
 
Id say we can think of the exact location later. For now, Id like to hear from players what kind of story would appeal more to them.

In a couple of days the thread will start ;)
 
I'd think something like a Vault with internal problems.

Have the vault built into preexisting caves that were expanded for the vault.

Have some of the caves not used, but semi connected to the vault (airducts and such)

Have small animals (rats and such) s tart appearing on the lower levels of the vault, and the vault dwellers having to explore the caves to remove the source of the infistation.
 
Guys I just had the Idea of a lifetime that will never be better. I say we do one where all of us play characters that are ourselves. Ok check this. We mae ou characters exactly like us (except different names) and give them equipment that is actually available in your house. We will all be survivors in a town some where in oregon, and our enemies will be the leftover chinese forces invading south from Alaska......we will have to fight them on our homeland AS OURSELVES. The only thing is that we would have to be honest about our characters(us) and their equipment. Anyone with me say I.

Howbout Kanadianian resistance forces striking back ?

That way, they'd not be AS deadly, then move up to the Chineese who pused the kanuks down to us.
 
Ok but remember that we would have to make spitting images of ourselves. No alterations to help survive the fallout universe.This idea is meant for the fantasy of what itd be like if you yurself lived in a post apoc world. Ok i have no problem with Canadian resistance forces.

Hres my idea.

We start with survival, grouping together, gangbanging Zoe :P (j/k)

We have to fight other survivors, begining of raiders, contend with the dregs of society.

Were going to face murder robbery rape and sociopaths.

As we move away from our starting city that's becoming anarchy, we start to encounter OTHER refugees fleeing north, Canadians invading.

We fight them when we HAVE to, and evenrualy find Chineese.
 
I like yer view on my idea.........pretty similar to mine but whatever.

So basically we r gonna be doing a "postman" type fallout against the dregs of society (survivalists, holnists) in an attempt to find a place where we can live peace fully in a civilized society?

Also psycho WTH is with you and the Canadian resistance force?

OK, lets go by parts:


First I wanna say that a smiley and writing (j/k) is not excuse to write anything. Maybe you were just trying to be funny, Psycosniper, so this time I will let it pass. But dont make any more jokes about rape.I think it is clear enough, so lets change subject.

Now about the ideas: the messager pretty much reminded me of falout. That movie could have been a great movie (was just ok), and so far I suppose our game can be more fun :)

So at this point of the vote we have decided to have a place that is not on the computer game map, and that the group will be trying to find a place to live in peace and civilization after the falout.

Interesting. Any of you seen the old movie The Day After? We can set our game some point where the worst has passed, and the vaults opened to the player characters to find the horror outside and start finding a chance to survive in that new desolate world.

As for playing ourselves - one of you said something about no cheating, while other said that it was an idealized version. You know guys that there is usually a difference between the way a person sees herself, the way the others see her and the way she really is...
So what will it be? You, with your today skills, trying your best to survive or the idealized you (whom you wish you were, though somewhat similar to who you are)?

Europe. I'd say set around the german/polish/czech border. Play as you see yourself.
 
When I said yourself I meant as you are right now. That could mean for some of us better equipment(maybe you guys are gunnuts such as Suaside) or some reduced to kitchen knives or makeshift explosives or bows. Some will be built like a nerd(Thin and gaunt and weak) and have to be speach characters. I myself weigh 215 pounds so my character wouldnt be running marathons,but I would be well armed seeing as I have a bolt action WW2 era british .303 with about 500 rounfs in the garage and have shot since I could speak. Any questions?
 
As we are ourselves...That mean I can keep the AR-15 i have and the 3 thousand rounds of ammo in my cabinet, along with the 5 other rifles and 3 pistols and assorted ammo + shotguns and other equipment... HE does have a point that gun nuts would be at a slight advantage :)
