OK miles you can have it, but since in the US it cannot be automatic or else the ATF would raid you I expect it to have a 15 round clip and be semi auto. otherwise you can carry as much as you want but remember that you will be miserable as hell if you have 50 pounds of bullets across your chest in bandoleers and a half dozen weapons on you not including survival gear and food and water and thermal bulky clothes.

Remember that we would be wearing things we own such as myself( bermuda jean shorts and white T-shirt with a simple short sleeved dress shirt over it.) You would probably want a thick blanket or quilt rolled on top of your pack and at least 2 liters of water and a week worth of food at all times. We also would be civilians, so alhough we may have a few med supplies we cannot have someone with 10 stims and a dozen radaway.So naturally we would be pathetically weak and rely on teamwork and stealth as we became accustomed to radiation.

I know, I was just pointing things out. Also I have pre ban 30 round magazines and even if it had full auto i prefer semi. more accuracy. Depends on where this is set cause survival gear is abundant here

Pyro, that would be unfair for people outside America. I live in Australia where the large majority of weapons are banned. I don't think it would be very fair if i had to run around with a cap gun, would it?

Actualy, it is fair, more realism.

For me, I'd have a bolt action .22 riffle with a 8 round mag

colt .45

bow&arrow (simple fiberglass bow, but still lethal)

i would like to see a european FO story. setting it around belgium or surrounding countries (france, germany,...) would be nice, since thats pretty much the center of europe but it doesnt really have to be. UK would be just fine imo (might be less of a cultureshock and easier to get info on for non-europeans)

If it's a non-US one, Id suggest having some of the non US pple run it, and have the OCC thread be heavily used to educate the americans in that country for the benifit of the RP.

Yeah, this Rp sounds like it'll be fun. I'd like to join it.
I am a little confused on the setting, is it pre-war or post-war? i guess i missed the change over, cause at first it was pre-war Oregon, but now post war europe? It's cool where ever it is. I got an A in Geography.
as for My wepons, i guess i just have my dad's scoped 30.06 that we use for hunting... he also has a bow i have no expeirence with that.

The idea I am pushing is of an RP taking place a week or so before the nukes hit. at first we will be trying to get away from rioting mobs and finding a safe place to stay( also we will need to meet eachother first to start the real adventure. ) Then we will live through the nuke hits and try to find a safe place to live. Of course there will be wandering o find a village that isnt rioting and we will stop at a few waypoint villages along the way. As we go we will run into survivalists and anarchists. The plot will deepen when we learn they intend to attack northwards and we will try to stop them( very similar to the book "the postman"). After we have we will find a place to settle and end the story.

Option a- Europe
Option b- Oregon
Option b- both, with 2 seprate RPs.


Personaly, I'd prefer the Oregon setting but it's not up to me alone.

Yes, but unfortunitly they'll be in the hands of the police/milirary who wont give them up, or the rioters who will be like early raiders.

My plan for such a thing has always been, arm yourself with what you can, Head to police stations and aquire better arms/ammunition/armor and destroy anything you cannot use/carry. head to grocery stores and other places for canned goods. ransack the nearby national guard armorys for equipment and supplys. Kill anyone who gets in the way and trys to stop/harm me or anyone im with

The only problems i see with your plan miles is that the characters we will play have evacuated to nearby woods or an underground shelter built by one of the families of the players. plus the police station would likely be barricaded and defended and so would the national guard. Think you can take down a tank with small arms fire? Good luck with that. Besides that many rioters would not be willing to give up their firearms without wildly shooting back at you and grocery stores would be looted already in mad attempts at hoarding supplies. pretty much you would be equipped with what you can grab from inside of your house which is a safepoint.

Depends on the location, most guard armorys are not near their deployment locations and the police would be rather busy during the rioting.Ya the plan has its flaws also depends on what you have already. I personally prefer MRE's for camping trips so i have a few cases of them in my garage along with weaponry and other supplies. Not to say i wouldnt share with those i trust

So what would become of our families? Were they killed in the riots, or is that something to be worked out? I am half asking this rehtorically, because it seems like something to be worked out by role playing it. I also would like to know how far into anarchy the world is. Has everyone who couldn't get into a vault just gavin up and is having fun? Has the government made out to it's little enclave base? Or are the riots results of the subsequent protests at annexing Canada? Also, would our real world weapons be there in the fallout universe? isn't there laser technology? Haven't guns been outlawed in America yet? Remember, the time before the bombs hit, in the fallout time line anyway, it was that utopian dream that 1950's America had, where everything was just great, and robots did all the housework and all that. Just some ideas for the brainstorming I'm throwing out there. Mabye I'm looking too much into it.

My guess is have your family members killed off thru various means, prehaps all in the same car when attacked and such.

That, or just ignore that part of reality for the benifit if the RP.

Or, what could happen, is that our family members made it to safty and we're trying to meet up with them at the far off safe point, since we're all seperated from them... and with eachother at the same time... by pure coincidence of course.
